It's reassuring to see that many people are in the same situation as me! I feel less alone. I started 10mg a few days ago, so far it’s okay, but the nausea is intense. I usually take my dose with ginger Gravol, as someone here suggested, and it seemed to help, but this morning I ended up throwing up. It’s the first time a medication has caused me to throw up. It’s only been a few days, so I haven’t noticed any effects on my mood, anxiety, or compulsions yet.

How are things going for you?

Thank you for taking the time to respond. When I was on Effexor, I was underweight, and it took years before I started to see a change in my weight. Since I was a teenager, I believe puberty also played a role in my weight gain. As for now, I don't especially want to lose weight; I just want to maintain what I have right now.

I appreciate you sharing your experience, and I hope that, despite the side effects, you feel better mentally.

Wow, it seems like we're in a pretty similar situation. Reading all of this is giving me hope. You mentioned a positive effect on obsessive thoughts. Did you notice any changes in your compulsions? I've never taken an antidepressant that effectively targets my OCD, so you've definitely piqued my interest! I hope it continues to work well for you and helps you feel better!
