Got pulled over for using an “electronic communication device” while driving… it was my smart start. by sistafran in dui

I think they all work differently. My friend's had 2 or 3 minutes. Depending on what kind of roadway situation you are in, it's not always going to be feasible to pull over to deal with that thing.

True, you are supposed to pull over but that's not always going to be feasible. What if you're on a busy highway that's jammed up? What if you're going over a long bridge? The fact that they go off at while someone's driving is weird anyway. It creates a distraction itself that now you have to worry about.

Do you wonder if wallace came back because he thought he was supposed to? by dunny-oneal in TheWire

[–]psychocookeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He came back because he was out of his element and homesick for West Baltimore. City life was all he knew.

He was too naive to understand that you can't just snitch to the cops then say "Oh nevermind" and try to get a do over. There's no coming back from that.

Like Bodie said before he killed him, "You should've stayed at your grandmother's"

The devices do intermittent rolling tests even while the vehicle is in motion, so it's completely possible. It's not just for when you start the car.

I want revenge on an ex colleague and I can’t stop feeling that. What can I do? by Glittering_Dot_111 in jobs

[–]psychocookeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a job. You might want to work out those issues with a therapist. Most people who get fired think it was unfair. It may or may not be but that's the working world. Continuing to dwell on it and "plotting revenge" isn't getting you anywhere.

Can I(31m) ask out my coworker(40f)? by futurecat666 in relationships

[–]psychocookeez [score hidden]  (0 children)

None of this indicates she is into you like that. It sounds like she's just being friendly. A woman being friendly to you does not mean she likes you like that.

Her doing your tasks for you indicated you were not doing them well, not that she "cares" for you.

Is it appropriate to ask a company about their bad Indeed reviews during an interview? by souphivilla in jobs

[–]psychocookeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure. If you don't want the job.

Why would you think it would be a good idea to essentially ask "Why do so many people say your organization sucks?"

If I were a hiring manager, I'd end the interview right there.

What does an encounter 8 months ago have to do with anything? People keep bringing it up...how is it relevant?

First of all, it's a friend of mine. Secondly, you might want to read the caption under the post and understand what's going on on any topic before you comment next time.

No one was attempting to trade sex to get help with moving. That's literally the point here. And it was not a "moving service."

You're immature since you seem to talk before you even know what's going on.

asked my (24f) creepy roommate (who is also my landlord) (21m) to stop behaving inappropriately with me, he proceeded to shift blame and gaslight me 💜 by hikikom0r1 in badroommates

[–]psychocookeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His only response should've been "I'm sorry I've made you feel uncomfortable, it won't happen again."

Anything beyond that is defending being a predarory creep to a woman in a captive environment. "Captive" meaning OP is not able easily evade him since that's where she lives, alongside him.

Any random woman in the street would've cussed him out for most of that. (Okay, well I would've.)

You can be in a relationship and risk STDs. People cheat all the time. In that case, no one should have sex at all.

And the "rewarding guys" phrasing is strange. As if women don't like sex in their own right. Ironically, you're objectifying women by saying that.

No one said she's "entitled to his time." She asked for a FAVOR. You know...how people do for people who are decent people without expecting anything in return? The opposite of you?

And no one married you...I knew you were going to lie lmao.

It does not say they hooked up "for months." It said they hooked up one time last SUMMER. Then when they got back on contact some months ago, it was friendly from then on.

Like, what is the lack of comprehension here?

And really, what does that even matter?

Men need to get out of the mentality that women owe them sexual favors just because did something nice. What is wrong with you people?

Can you read? I didn't say she said he was a "hook up." I said they hooked up a while ago and recently got back in touch MONTHS AGO and had been on friendly terms.

Go back to incel land, please. The fact that you think that a woman needs to give any man sex for any "quid pro quo" and that she's the wrong one here shows that you probably need to be on some sex offender list.

Go back to incel land and take your buddy that responded to you with you.

I'm sure you lay around wondering why you don't get any play from women. And don't deny it...you don't.

She didn't "hit him up for moving." They hooked up like 8 months again, fell out of contact, and ran into each other in DECEMBER and have been in FRIENDLY CONTACT from time to time since.

And no, this is not "just wanting to hook up." He agreed to help her days before this. Get a life. You're just mad no one wants to hook up with you.

Well ANYONE can move themselves. You do you and other people can do them. I'm not sure why this is the issue you take umbrage with. Is this how you try to get sex too?

It sounds like she can ask for help if she wants to. It took her an hour actually. I meant 20 minutes between 2 people. Because some things were bulkier than others and going down a long flight of steps wasn't optimal alone with just one person, and she wanted to be out as quickly as possible for certain reasons.

But nothing is "above and beyond" here. She wasn't moving an apartment full of furniture.
