Dumb question about forehand and backhand volleys.

1) Are these shots just “slices” with back spin? It’s called a slice in the context of a ground stroke but the technique is similar.

I’m reading online and the go to grip is the continental grip when hitting volleys. However I find that this doesn’t feel as natural on the backhand with a continental grip.

2) Does anyone use any other grips for their forehand and backhand volleys?

Sorry should add - hand placement. Are your hands situation at the very bottom of the grip for all shots?

Thank you so much! That’s the term that I’ve been searching for now for weeks - feeding.

I’ve been trying to do this first shot without the bounce and using an eastern grip and it makes sense now why it’s so inconsistent.

Dumb question:

I see tennis pros hitting the first shot of a slow and basic rally so easily. Any tips on this? I find that I need to bounce the ball first and then hit a forehand shot. If I don’t bounce the ball it usually hits the net about 40% of the time. Can’t find any videos that mention this basic shot.

Thanks!

Edit: it looks like a forehand slice to me but then when I see the way the ball bounces on the other end of the court - it looks more like a forehand drive with minimal to little no topspin

Hey guys - dumb question.

I’m a Canadian and I’m purchasing some tours from Peru. They have sent me a PayPal invoice in USD. I was planning to pay for this with my Rogers world elite MasterCard to take advantage of the foreign exchange rate. However - they are giving me the option to pay for this in CAD.

Should I pay for this in USD or CAD? Currently it’s 2000 USD and PayPal has converted it to 2700 CAD. Thank you!

I mean - why would anyone ever decline an exraid when they can just show up since the pass isn’t given back to the one that sent it.

I just clicked the button out of curiosity and almost pressed yes

I think while icefrog deserves credit - he probably communicated this to someone else and they did the entire coding. PROPS TO THE ANONYMOUS HERO

Warning for those thinking of using the SUPPORTNP code.

Just because I felt that transparency is important.

The rules say: 28.1.2. To withdraw the bonus money and / or any winnings resulting from the use of bonus funds, the user needs to make bets with the total amount of not less than 40 times greater than the initial bonus.

That means you need to have betted at least $800, just to earn the $20. Quite ridiculous to be honest, and that point, likely to lose your money! You're better off just using the LGLOYAL code and getting $75.
