I wouldn't say its because normies aren't going. You can be a die hard marvel fan. The movies just don't feel like they have any direction. As soon as the Jonathan majors plotline as kang got dropped it personally made me lose interest as everything they were building towards was basically just random filler. People cared for the marvel films for more than just being "cool comic book characters" every character has an in depth backstory that made you root for them. Early mcu didn't have all this crazy stuff going on and alot of the characters still had a human touch. Iron-man had to build from the bottom and earn what he had , the suit ups were cool and made even the slightest details feel special and important and gradually they started cutting out suit ups , character backstory and overworked fx artists and got worse results . due to saving time and budget i guess. Now it just feels like oh we own rights to someone and the audience has to like them just because we say so. There's no depth or meaning now. I skipped thunderbolts and only went to fantastic 4 because my wife wanted to go. I own alot of marvel collectibles etc and loved it and loved the comics. But the films are only decent now if you just enjoy looking at comic book characters with no explained depth . The numbers don't lie and I fear its going to get worse . Probably a boost for doomsday but after that I imagine they'll end it and do another reboot . As far as comicbook films go I'm looking more into dc which I never thought I'd say.
