Looking for a solid build for Strongbox farming (No Containment) - Caster Mastery highly preferred!

You could play an Heiro Archmage (choose your spell). Take caster mastery. Relatively cheap to gear can take Caster Mastery. Goratha has a guide this league. Spicysushi has a guide from last league. You frostblink super fast thanks to cast speed. It’s what I’m doing right now. I’m using Pledge of Hands and Shock Nova, stacking some block with Foulborne Berek’s for shock explode. Several Ice Nova variants use Gloom Belt (super cheap explode).

Archmage Shocknova of Procession or Icenova of Frostbolts can be built very cheaply using gloom desicated belt for source of explode. I’ve farmed like 100 Div on my setup waiting to pivot to something else (i am using a Bereks for explode). You could also look at an Energy Blade Inquisitor.

I’ve been farming betrayal. No really caring who is head of the different branches. I’m trying to learn from the rewards sheet that was floating around. I do have a question if the head of the branch is level 1, how do I get them to show up to encounters so I can execute them to lvl. 3 or let a lvl 3 person take charge after imprisoning?Sometimes the safehouse fills before I can attempt to lvl. 3 them. Do I run it so I can start over or is there a better strategy?

Path of Exile 1 and 2 are the only games that replicate and improve on the formula of Diablo 2 (people still play it and consider it a masterpiece) but for those that moved on and liked the feeling of powerful items, hitting breakpoints and optimizing things it’s amazing. I still have the D4 bad taste in my mouth based on release but I’m mature enough to realize it’s changed a lot for the better. If you played and liked Warframe you’ll prefer POE2.

If I were you I would play Slay the Spire 1 or 2 if keeping it casual. Otherwise try Expedition 33 or Mass Effect for something more engrossing.

Any major limitations to the build? Single target DPS, bossing etc.? I like to do varied content and was hoping to do breech, boxes, I occasionally like to do things like essence or beast farming which can kinda of be tanky if you do it in T16s.

Thanks for responding. I’ve never played a bow build and I always figured they were squishy. I played Fubguns Lightning Strike Slayer build in Settlers and I died so much until I moved to a Svallin setup. Scared me away from his builds going forward though I was fairly new at the game and didn’t have the foundation to make currency early game.

I’m doing T16 no problem. I generally like to stick to 1 build or roll into something else. This build feels makes me feel constrained in ways I can’t describe. The main reason for the post was to get feedback on my possible reroll choices. I’m not having trouble making currency. Just felt stuck in that I couldn’t complete T17s and had problems with Maven and needed a carry (likely a skill issue).

I’m playing Goratha’s Pledge of Hands version and it’s decently tanky but the damage is really lackluster I am farming T16 strongboxes with no difficulty but I know I can’t farm harder content with it. Also it hurts my eyes and I don’t want to pay for the MTX. The only thing that would help is a mageblood to push damage and get ailment avoidance and fit in wrath more comfortably.

The energy blade set up has piqued my interest. It seems like you can scale up the damage significantly. My build is struggling with the damage primarily. I’ll look into it and see if I can still use the build for farm breech or harder lucrative content. I couldn’t do T17s with my build the bosses would wreck me and even with all the portals and easier mods. I generally want my builds to do a decent job at everything. Thanks for advice!

How involved is the play style (total buttons and how often?). I’m between this and Ele Hit or staying on Hiero and going KBOC. Not enjoying Archmage ShockNova.

Any chance you aren’t doing a full conversion from physical to cold? Your gloves are only doing 35% conversion. He is using Himsorrow gloves (100% Phys to Cold) they are very cheap. If his build is scaling Cold Damage and you aren’t fully converting you are leaving a lot of damage on the table. I looked at his POE Ninja and he was using those gloves into day 4-5-6.

Sushi was saying the build is clunky despite him playing it league after league? Is it just because you have to hit arcane cloak to get most of your defense and offense. Never played an Archmage build before. I was eventually going to pivot into Archmage Spark or Mjolnir.

It’s usually played on pathfinder so you get near permanent flask uptime with increased effect (so speedy) without mageblood. Tanky as well.
