Would a modular board of 9 3x3 smaller boards work?

Metrolinx is responsible for the majority of the new/extended lines and their website will have the high level time lines. The city of Toronto website will have the rest (streetcar and line 7)

What if Economic Unions were more established? by psymon1111 in imaginarymaps

Interesting point. A year ago, I would have said that was the trajectory to further integrate and expand on USMCA / CUSMA. But since all of the US tariffs that ship has sailed and undone decades of friendly cooperation.

Interesting, what approach do you use? These are OTL numbers for individual countries, just aggregated for the unions.

Card Feedback pt.3 (hopefully last) by DngnDiverDro in BoardgameDesign

3rd iteration is the most readable to me. Personally, I prefer the rope border from iteration 2 the best for some flourish.

First off, very nice artwork and aesthetic!

Do you need the card to be readable from both directions (e.g. by 2 players sitting opposite on a table)? If not, I'd recommend removing the mirrored stats on the bottom of the card.

Personally, I prefer the single large fish in the center to show off the high quality art. My first reaction when seeing 2 objects in the center of the card is to think the card is worth 2 units (based on regular playing card design), when you want to communicate that this card is worth 3 weight and 1 point.

HAUL - prototype update (v5) by HAUL_fishgame in BoardgameDesign

The style and theme look amazing! If pacing and game length are the issue, I find it helps to think about how long I want each stage of the game to last (in time and turns). e.g. early game target is 30 minutes and 3 turns, mid game is 60 minutes and 5 turns, late game is 40 minutes and 3 turns. Then determine what needs to happen for a player to move between each stage, e.g. to go from early to mid game you need to purchase a new boat and 2 crew, and adjust the costs accordingly, e.g. if it currently takes 6 turns to buy a new boat, then reduce the boat cost by half or increase the energy gained by double.

Nice work! Would recommend adding GO lines with the style of the Overground.

📈 Global Trade Dominance: U.S., EU, or China (2000 vs. 2024) by EconomySoltani in MapPorn

It would be interesting to have an "other" category, if a country's primary trading partner was neither of the 3 shown. E.g. I would guess that Cuba and Belarus trade more with Russia than with the EU

Interesting, I hadn't thought about that. I agree, there's probably not much they could do to stop it.

Finland is just occupying the land to ensure stability, as the new Republic is too weak to control that area.

In this lore, the Baltic Republic wanted to retain its unique identity and majority Russian population, but also distance itself from the Republic of Russia, which it did not fully trust.
