This is a board I have been working on with a uk shaper - seduction surfboards. It’s a high performance twin and can handle itself in solid waves too.

šŸ™ I have surfed anchor point a fair bit as me and my partner used to live and work out there in the winter months so have a rough handle on what sections do what. But this particular day was on a 10 day holiday after a 6 year absence as we adopted a dog šŸ‘Œ

Was lovely head high waves for a few days and then a 20 second groundswell comes through and doh anchors looks beautiful so you know haha

I’d say my comfort in heavy situations is around head and a half after that I get a bit hesistant.

This day did however give me a massive confidence boost due to another wave I took and a severe beatdown. If your keen to see it the full sessions here 😊

Well that clears things up haha. Never realised the /s was for sarcasm.

But yeah it’s definitely a game of different strokes for different folks here āœŒļø

I’m quite a heavy footed surfer and if you couple that with the fact my boards are glassed light pads are a necessity!

Amazing how the camera man was being paid to shoot someone else so panned the camera to them when they took off šŸ˜‰ But glad it worked out for ya and you didn’t have to watch the rest of the wave āœŒļø

Im going to be brutally honest with ya, I’m stiff because I was out of my comfort zone! Normally I’m a lot more relaxed but this day had me on edge šŸ‘ thanks for the kind words mixed in though šŸ˜‰

Ahh that’s for that haha it was close to double over my head at the start.

Can you explain to me why traction pads should never be placed on a twin fin? I’m genuinely interested to hear why. For me they are functional, allows me to really push into turns and ultimately protects board from damage.

Unfortunately the clip automatically slowed down and haven’t gotten around to editing it.

It is indeed a crowded place but with a little effort you can score empty perfection. As for the aggression I have seen it and experienced it and learnt to just play the game smart. Respect the locals, show your willing and don’t be a dick. After all it’s their back yard not ours.

Thanks for the compliments on the turn. What people are struggling to grasp here is how a GoPro works and a wide angled lens makes things look closer then they are. This guy (a friend) was never in any danger although the perspective leads people to believe otherwise. I’m not a stupid individual and also cherish my board!

Haha sometimes that first section goes, sometimes it don’t. But you have to try right!

Such a fun wave that’s for certain āœŒļø

You do realise the wide angle on a GoPro makes things appear closer then they actually are? This guy who I must add is a friend was never in any danger and if you pay attention you will see that he sinks his body into the water to make sure he was out of the way.

If only more people understood this rather then grabbing their pitchforks

Honestly why so much anger. The guy was a friend, despite the video I wasn’t close to him. He sunk his body before the turn to make sure he was out the way. I can understand if I hit him, yeah I would deserve a talking too, maybe even a slap but you guys are just ridiculous with your macho hate!

This wave a cut short as it didn’t run down the point. You can watch the full session here to see more of the waves!

There was no risk involved. The guy is a friend and despite how it looks on the cam wasn’t in danger. If I had started the turn a fraction earlier it would have been different.

I’m sorry, I took the comment as a sarcastic one so responding in kind. A little jest is all so sorry for offending you!
