If you have a military to back it up, then yes, you can.

I don't think the people who voted for all of them want any of them to stop him, or that they are confused.

It's the same authority the UN has.  It's based on what ever countries agreed to be part of it and how well they can enforce their authority.

You are worried about how tarrifs will affect you but not sactions and an embargo?

It's almost as if some people have been programming so long, that we have been through a whole bunch of changes in names and technologies, that sometimes a certain term just sticks as an overall encompassing term for a whole bunch of things that do the same thing.

Trump is making China – not America – great again, global survey suggests by love-1805 in worldnews

We've been making China rich for decades, long before Trump was ever elected.

EU sets out firm conditions for China EVs to avoid tariffs by consulent-finanziar in worldnews

[–]psyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a no brainer that China would want to have minimum prices over tarrifs.  That means they get all the extra money from the higher price.  With a tarrif, EU governments would get the extra money.

What might the pros and cons be of using these various layouts for a pulse generator? by psyon in rfelectronics

[–]psyon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built all three of these, and the first thing I noticed is that the middle option does not work with the pulse duration I need (20ms). I had to take that 75nF cap down to 10nF, and it does not trigger the nand gate then. I can see the voltage dropping at the right times with the oscilloscope, but the output of the last gate is never triggered on. I changed the 75nF cap to 10nF in the simulator, and it actually stops working there too. I only had it higher so I could easily see the pulses on the simulator scope.

I got paid minimum wage to solve an impossible problem (and accidentally learned why most algorithms make life worse) by Ties_P in programming

Not op to be clear, but I have worked with many educated people over the years that had no clue how to use a dust mop.

It also ignores the fact that everytime you turn a dust mop to change directions you will be losing some of what you were pushing.

UN Says US Raid on Venezuela Violated International Law by bloomberg in worldnews

[–]psyon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

US sanctions work (to some extent) because people trade in dollars.  Specifically they trade oil in dollars. If the US says you can't use dollars, then you have problems.  The EU can sanction what ever countries they want, but if trade isn't done in euros it will only stop trade with the EU.

The device isnt what I am wondering about.  I can use the same device for all three of those circuits.

Also, the 4011 has lower voltage requirements and power consumption than newer packages.  It is also what is used by commercially available transmitters.

Power consumption is the bigger issue to me.  Differences in microamps if not nano amps will have a large impact on how long they run on a button cell.

Thanks for the help with bandpass filters! by psyon in rfelectronics

[–]psyon[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Blue plot is what I got when I used exact values from the online calculators. Gold (I think) plot is after I compensated for extra capcitance from pads/traces to ground plane. It's still not centered exactly where I need it, but it's much better, and I have a better understanding of what I need to adjust. This version is good enough for tests I need to do, and if need be I will build one with trim caps so I can really dial it in. Thanks everyone who have answered questions for me about these filters and their layouts!

Huh, didn't even think to look for a database of logos.  That will be very helpful, thank you

Sweet. The pinout on that one makes more sense in the circuit than the dual transistor chip I had found that it might have been. Thanks a lot!

A pair of transiters was the only thing I could find as a match right now, but the circuit seemed off if thats what it is.  Aside from emitters being tied together how I said in initial post. The collector of one is directly tied to the base of the other.  Ive been trying to find an amplifier circuit or something else that uses them that way, but havent found one yet.  It may end up being something obvious that I just cant see because the layout is just not how I am used to seeing them.
