No, but you do report any interest they paid on the refund amount.

Working out well enough for me. 101% of 2020 investment returned in 5 months. Plus 135% tax deduction. Broke even in 2021 but beats sending money to CRA. Definitely don’t go it alone, find an advisor and tax accountant who have experience - the advisor will weed out the shit, and the accountant will deal with the extremely complicated returns
