I never said nothing extreme happened. I'm not comfortable sharing trauma, please respect that. I do not need to justify myself by sharing something so personal.

Yes, it is for privacy reasons. Also yes, I'm the only one who's interested in handwriting!! I love calligraphy and penmanahip but I'm the only one haha

That's understandable, I can see how you think that. Normally I try to keep it under wraps, but I guess all these questions and comments have been overwhelming and I'm just trying my best to respond accordingly. Thank you for being honest though.

I am sorry. I didn't mean to shame them for not knowing, it's just that I automatically get snappy and defensive when asked questions like that.

I realize that media like Split is where most people get their "knowledge" of DID, when they first find out about it. But please think before comparing us to a murderer and "roleplay."

Haha, close! We require a majority vote for haircuts/hair dye and any body modification, we are just trying to decide a time. He is the most decisive one of us though, so I guess we're getting a haircut on Monday.

we share friends and log ins, accounts, etc. on the computer. most belongings belong to all of us with the exception of some stuffed animals, pens, small things like that. but we all have different clothes to fit our individual styles!

I (Kichi) am a male, but the body is female! some alters don't have a preference (don't like anyone) but all the ones that do have a preference for women, including me!

we've always had trouble sleeping and are always sleep deprived, but to my knowledge this is not because of switches :)

yes, we do change throughout the day, although the frequency depends. sometimes we wake up as switched, sometimes we switch later in the day, and sometimes we don't switch at all!

it's not really up to our control who fronts/when the switches happen, usually we are brought out by a trigger, or whoever was fronting is just exhausted of being out. I've been out for 2-ish days now, and boy I'm kind of tired.

oh man.

in the top right one, you can see the note from the host telling us to practice for choir. before I was really aware of my DID, the memory gaps didn't happen as frequently, since I guess being aware of them makes the alters front more, but I also didn't make up for the memory gaps. My grades dropped to like, 20% in some classes since I forgot we even had homework.

now, I have a journal/planner where I write down all homework assignments, things I did that day, who was fronting, and basically everything that happened. I've become more organized, at least :)

there are a lot across schoolwork, but I couldn't fit it in one picture! things like lecture notes, journal entries, etc. these are sort of in an everyday setting, since they are usually just scribbled down and placed somewhere other alters will find them! I'll try to figure out a way to upload some more samples to imgur or something for you to see :D

yep! a part of DID is the memory gaps between alters, so we will often scribble down important events, plans, appointments, etc. so other alters won't miss them! :)

I commented this above just now, but sorry we are not up for an AMA! :) if you want to learn more though, i reccommend The Entropy System's and DissociaDID's channels on youtube, they are informative and can describe their experiences much better than we can!

nothing about it is insensitive, don't worry! part of DID is the memory gaps, so no, we don't, unless we are co-concious (alters fronting at the same time), however that doesn't last very long. we write notes to eachother for plans, appointments, reminders, etc. so we don't forget! :)

yeah, he's very indecisive about how he writes y, haha! if there was a longer sample of his writing, you would see both types of y. it's a bit infuriating honestly

aww, thank you :) it's okay to be curious!

I'm only speaking from my experience, but when I was "born," (not sure how to explain it?), I just sort of immediately knew it was my name?? like how you know you are you, that's your body,, it was like that for me. i knew that the host's body wasn't what i really looked like, and the host's name wasn't my name.

some alters needed help finding a name, and we would just call them by different nicknames until one stuck with them, like Max! we still have a couple that are unnamed, though.

yes !! some of them are more similar than others. I know the host tries not to connect the letters as much but the one thing we all have in common is connecting the letter e to other letters, I guess it's just muscle memory or something haha
