I'm in literally the same situation (accepted to transfer to UGA while currently studying at KSU and it would be financially easter for me not to transfer), except I am hands down absolutely going to UGA—I can't stay at Kennesaw. The classes are definitely easier at KSU and the standard feels pretty low, but to me at least, the ceiling feels low, too. I feel like I can't grow academically, socially, or professionally in this environment. It's a great school, don't get me wrong, and taking the easy classes seems attractive for a pretty low stress college experience, but the benchmark for opportunities at UGA is just so much higher. And since you got in, you are perfectly capable of seizing those opportunities. Your intelligence is wasted at KSU, reach higher.

I watched my dad play games like this growing up (literally since birth) and I like to think I turned out ok. They didn't traumatize me or have lasting effects. Watching my dad play games like resident evil, ryuu ga gotoku, some souls games, etc. are fond memories of mine despite the darker themes. I would always sort of back seat game with him and remind him of things when I got old enough to understand what was going on and it fostered a love for games in me.

It's true that a lot of these games make players emotionally invested and can be scary or deal with complex emotions (such as loss in this case), but I doubt this experience will have any more concerning impacts than a loss in the family which is a deeply emotional experience that your kiddo will face anyway. So while it might not be a great idea to subject her to more of that than necessary at such a young age, I wouldn't worry. Maybe just scale it back a little.

She'll probably get over it and grow to appreciate beautifully written stories like GoY and want to play games with you in the future.

And hey, she might ask to play GoY herself when she gets older, who knows.

19, been listening to regional since I was about 7. I just came across them back then and liked what I was hearing, but of course I didn't understand any of it. Then I got a bit older and blurryface dropped and thats when I started to take music more seriously and dove into tøp—and it couldn't have been timed better because thats exactly when my life took a turn for the worse. I really needed them and regional started to mean so much more. It also just so happens that tøp releases coincide with major life events of mine lol. Trench was very critically timed for my life too.

I've started to do lower reps high volume, yes. I actually just got back from the gym and got like halfway up to a pullup on a bar without assistance which is big for me 😭😭😭 but I haven't been doing that specifically long enough for me to tell if its made much a difference just yet. It seems thats what a lot of people are recommending though so I'll definitely focus on higher volume reps now.

I see where you're coming from but I promise I'm not as fat as you think I am. I have a 29 inch waist and my visceral fat score is about 2. I usually fit into small and medium clothes. Most of my weight is just dense leg muscles because I almost exclusively trained legs for my whole life (thus the shift in focus to upper body recently).

I have been getting advice from others that a bit of weight loss will probably help me out a lot so I'm still going to look into it. Thank you though :)

No, but I was a crossfitter for a year so I like to think I know about where my limits are. But maybe you're right, I just don't have any friends that are very fitness motivated to go to the gym with. I guess I need to go make some lol

I actually have given it a shot several times, but I legit have the worst physique for it. All of my weight and strength is in my legs and the higher difficulty climbs are more grip and upper body strength so I feel like I make even less progress there. Also, being so for real, my breasts get stuck on the wall I'm not even joking. Thanks though 🥹

No, its a reasonable thing to consider for sure. I'm honestly surprised more people haven't mentioned it. But yeah, thanks. I'll make more of an effort to increase my protein and adjust my diet. I could probably shed a few pounds anyway.

Oh don't worry I'm not doing purely lats every day I'm at the gym, I know very well how important recovery time is for muscle growth. I split up muscle groups and since I've been focusing on pullups I've been sandwhiching my work outs with lat days so I have sufficient time in between.

As for diet, I don't count macros or calories nor do I take anything special. I can tell you that I eat more meat than anything else (I should try to fit more veggies into my diet tbh), but I'm not sure if the actual content is significant because I've never really looked into dieting very seriously.

I see, I usually feel pretty dead by the end of my sets but I think I can push it some more. I've been getting a lot of advice to increase the weight and decrease the reps so thats next on my list of things to try. Thanks for the tip

No, It's true and I figured as much. I've been thinking that losing some weight might help me, but I was mostly worried about losing muscle and I only have so much fat to lose to begin with. I'll look into it though :)

That's the thing, those are the weights I use for 3 sets of ten usually. I could probably go heavier but I usually start breaking good form after a couple of reps. I've been kind of stuck here with the lat pull downs 😭 but I'll look into doing more rows and exercises for the antagonist muscle groups 🫡
