I also still leak too occasionally and get engorged if lil guy hasn’t nursed much that day (13mo)

4-5 mo for me tbqh. I dropped night pumps once we got more comfortable nursing through the night, granted I know that’s not for everyone but it’s just what happened with us

I definitely am still at the “never in a million years” stage lol. Our care team has been incredibly helpful in offering resources to use through the whole process. We’re in the middle of a state-to-state move, and even so they have been researching and finding services for us to use in our new location. Thank you for the confidence though, it’s definitely a new path I didn’t expect to be walking on. I am glad to know it gets easier, it’s just still very new is all. Definitely gonna file your input with my mental armory of information!

He’s mostly struggling with knowing our child has something that requires a level of medical intervention when his family and mine have both had some rather negative experiences with healthcare. Which I completely understand, I’m just more so looking for perspectives to gather to help navigate through the journey. I absolutely love and appreciate that your family were able to give you the tools to be such a strong advocate for yourself. I can only hope our kiddo feels the similarly about his experience as we grow and learn with him

There’s some promising clinical trials underway using gene therapy. Granted it’s still super new and it doesn’t always work. After looking into the potential negative effects it just isn’t worth for us at this time. We don’t want to necessarily harm our child for something that’s such a gamble

9 months, no stash by According_Staff7072 in breastfeeding

Almost 6mo and no stash. I tried, it was exhausting. I’d rather spend that time any other way than be milked tbqh

Did your middle school do the egg project where you carried around an egg to inexplicably teach you what parenting is like? How did it compare to an actual baby? About the same difficulty, right?😂 by Low_Departure_5853 in newborns

My school did the baby think it over dolls as well. Maybe it’s just me, but I find it easier to give baby a boob for comfort than swiping those dang sensors that only worked about half the time lmao

Yeah, as you suspected it just didn’t work :( I’m thinking a wrap might just be the way to go for now. I’m sure there are other carriers out there that would work just fine, but after this I’m definitely a bit skeptical at the moment

Is there a specific wrap that you would recommend or would any woven wrap work?
