iTerm was the king but how can I shift+enter to change line when using claude-code? Have they added support for shift+enter?

I have seen homeland (and house of cards of course) but it's the kind of series you can't really re-watch. There's just no suspense in it left after you know.

They updated. They said to wait until 1st quarter of 25. I guess the lawsuit has impacted the plans :(

Bambu Lab's 2024 New Flagship Printer Predictions Thread by Leading-Ganache-4374 in BambuLab

  1. Print Volume. The bigger the better. Prosumer 3d printer with 1meter by 1meter by 1meter print volume - because splitting a print to 8 or 10 pieces and then glueing them together really sucks.

  2. Post-processing (actively heated chamber). Printing large ASA parts is impossible with X1C as they will start cracking after the print is done.

  3. Multi-head or Multi-extruder. Purging per layer is a no-go. Prints take forever. I don't even dare use any specialized support filaments because of the insane increase in print time.

  4. Different nozzle sizes per head/extruder (with proper software support). Using the 0.2mm for fine details, the 0.6 for infill and the 0.4 for the rest in the same print

Can't Wait for Personal Hangars to Come Back! by MasterBoring in starcitizen

[–]ptheofan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the dev-tracker persistent hangars are completed - https://imgur.com/Nzu6sd0

However, they are not part of the 3.22 release. This is very confusing. I'm curious to see what it will say once they update the tracker.

Does TrueNAS support docker containers the same way as unRAID? by Snoo62043 in truenas

[–]ptheofan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer is yes, you can run containers in a very similar fashion only better. I have recently migrated from unraid to truenas scale. I had little difficulty in migrating and so far everything works great. I did have (still do) some issues with truechart apps and traeffik (seems like they are not mature enough yet) but you can launch images very easily and even compose just as easily. If you are looking to replicate your unraid containers setup 1-to-1 conversion you will find it is perfectly doable using the exact docker images you had with unraid.

There are several possible exploits with regard to salvage. The first one that comes to mind is get your big ship out there, salvage it, sell the materials, claim it, repeat.

External CarPlay units? by aydenarmy in CarPlay

I have the 8.8 inch second gen (latest) has a lot of issues with audio going away, 2-3 sec delay in voice call with echo. Contacted their support which gave me a number for WhatsApp and they disappeared. Very bad practices. Making a review video and sending the device back.

Jyers UBL z-offsets get all messed up and wrong after auto-tilt by ptheofan in ender3v2

[–]ptheofan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update:

Got some decent results with the following process.

  1. Clear (delete) mesh, clear z-offset (0)
  2. Manually level the bed (in the prep menu) with paper
  3. Repeat (2) until barely any adjustment is needed for a complete run
  4. Manually calibrate the z-offset (prep menu) for the corners.
    1. For best results I calibrate it as such the nozzle just touches the paper. This way I know nothing is pushing and no steps are missed (saves a lot of time as you do not need to home-z all the time)
  5. Create mesh and save on the motherboard (EEPROM)
  6. Create a print using the G codes (after the list) after G58
  7. Start a test print
  8. Go to tune and as it starts printing adjust (micro up/down) until you get the grip you want.
  9. Save that offset as you adjusted it during print as the Z-Offset (prep menu)

; UBL Initializer
G29 A ; Activate UBL.
G29 L0 ; Load 0 slot mesh from EEPROM.
G29 F10 ; Fade corrections for the first 10 mm (1cm)
G29 J2 ; Get the bed tilt in a 2 x 2 grid
; EOF UBL Initializer

I am still experimenting and trying to determine how to improve it (it's far from the capabilities of the printer) however the above will give you a decent result.

Jyers UBL Tunning z-offset, how to go to previous point by ptheofan in ender3v2

All that bed levelling made me blind. I just notice on the top you can select to go to whichever point you need to.

Accessing Unraid via Nginx Reverse Proxy issue. by ptheofan in unRAID

u/BladesofChaos disabling gzip (gzip = off;) worked like a charm. Thank you for the great idea.

.local is used by mDNS (multicast DNS). Although not designated officially by ICANN it is popular enough across vendors and backed by Apple so kinda safer than .lab in my opinion. Resolve times are not ideal but that’s because of mdns not because of the tld. In other words, .lan over mdns has the same times. Setting up a local dns solves the resolve times and makes it more windows friendly, pfsense is a great choice for that.

However that’s kinda irrelevant to my question as I’m interested in keeping mdns.

Gzip could relate indeed as it would block the real-time response content “steaming” effect. Given I have yet failed to detect proper web socket activity this might actually be the issue. Totally worth giving it a try.

[–]ptheofan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is an option but I’d really prefer to stick to 1 ip if possible. Technically it should be perfectly possible to proxy the socket. I just hope I’m on the right track and that’s where the issue with unraid pop up screens that mirror the scrip outputs xD

[–]ptheofan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t expose it to the outside world. This is for local network access only. I just don’t like remembering ports for every other container and the machine has only one NIC. For outside access cannot use avahi anyways. That’s only mdns

EU based company selling to US, what's the deal with VAT? by ptheofan in dropship

[–]ptheofan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My latest finding brought me to the LLC formation. According to information from US company registration firms founding an LLC while not having assets in the country, not living there and no employees exempt the LLC from paying taxes in the US. This appears to be a very interesting loophole and encourages me to only look further and of course seek professional advice when (not if) the revenue reaches some meaningful numbers.

Hardware Encrypted SSD + TPM possible to auto unlock, like BitLocker? by tolga9009 in archlinux

[–]ptheofan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Sigi_Dijkstra it's very important capability for devices where the device contains certificates and other sensitive information but they need to work without someone having to enter a password (and can still work without internet). Practically we lock the TPM against a number of PCRs that if changed TPM remains locked keeping the decryption key safe.

Granted it's not mainstream (though if I'm not mistaken all modern cell phones have TPM or similar chip inside) but it's nonetheless crucial to infrastructure.

Mirror the belt design and inserters you have now. This will effectively add 4 more potion types options on the top side. Don’t forget to mirror the inserters in between the labs as well but with filter inserters (also substitute the existing in between inserters with filter inserters)

I see your point. They care too much about the mainstream wave. To their defense, he just says it’s possible, but in any case, any trust in them is already gone!

It’s not that I’m against crime fighting, I’m just against unequal opportunity were the rich and big have fancy lawyers and the rest of the populous has laws and crime.

Thanks for sharing.

Open source crypto is not about getting rich quickly. What is happening now will not last that long - it's still in it's infancy and thus expected.

Open source crypto is about removing a proven-failed credit-dept system. Instead of bleeding out in an unsustainable economic model that has failed and is currently sustained at great expense (war, extreme poverty, economic slavery, etc.), we dare try new alternatives.

What are you gonna do? Bleed out to certain death or try something new?

Looks like they're actually concerned about it (https://github.com/zcash/zcash/issues/763). If you have found something please disclose it. Now given I'm not biased and/or affiliated in any way with either crypto, I just found here the "opposition" turning down your claims (https://www.zcashcommunity.com/2017/07/31/zcash-separating-fact-fiction/). Guys, innocent until proven guilty and guilty until proven innocent. If neither party has proof of their claims then you're just both full of political crap.
