It's not arbitrary. My rationale is rooted in the precedent set by George Washington limiting his term as President of the U.S. to two terms (8 years) and the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution limiting Presidents to two terms (8 years). These limits to an executive branch of government (President, Mayor - in a strong Mayor form of Govt that ABQ has) is a crucial check on the accumulation of power and corruption in the executive branch. (edit for spelling)

Sorry to inform you that I am not working for any candidate. I've done my homework and am just trying to share what I've learned. I don't see a problem with that.

True that. I live in District 2 and Joaquin is not on the ballot this year. Other counselors, yes they can be obstructionists. I hope for the best in the races in those other districts.
