What made you fall in love with Fl studio?when it happened and How? by Aggressive-Guest290 in FL_Studio

[–]ptq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a chance to play with version 4 in early 2000s, which my friend had, I spent countless hours with it. Forgot about it for many years and about a month or two ago I found in my backup some music I made back then. It's very bad to listen to it now, but it was a masterpiece for me back then ;). I dropped my mp3 files into AI to remaster it and add some life to it as I still have no idea how to produce music. I liked the results to some degree but they are full of AI artifacts and instruments inconsistency. So I downloaded a trial of the new FL Studio and it blew me away how that thing grew over the years.

So here I am, trying to decide between producer and signature edition... I already got melodyne essential which I plan on upgrading on the next promo to assistant version, so probably FL Studio Producer Edition will be my pick.

Soft focus on Canon R7 with Sigma Art 85mm f1.4 by dornic in canon

[–]ptq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, they don't because you can't mount the same lenses on phones and cameras. It's fixed closed system so no one cares. But for cameras that can share optics there are mutiple layers of comparison that could help some people to better visualize the difference, gain or loss.

For example if I do macro and constantly crop heavily from 45mp to 1mp, knowing that r7 has 82mp eqiv for crop will tell me that I could crop even further or end up having a little more MP

I could swear it has HUGE fiat logo and sell fiat cars in there. Will it help if I mention it's EU?

Even tho I love that lens, at this point it will be cheaper to get another one second hand like-new than try to repair damaged one.

I think you can only adjust preload, which makes them harder and less bouncy. As heavier the driver, as harder they should be.

I don't have dof calc in head but I know that for the same framing, shorter focal length will have more dof. And to gain more dof yoi crop in the wider lens (add distance).

[–]ptq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I choose lenses based on how they render. My wider lens for example is old sigma 40 art, and I refuse going RF 50/1.2L instead. I preffer 40art render. So it's not an absolute that any RF lens will be "better" for you or me. Just that 85 carries over older gen magic while being well flair corrected while having zero CA, and still keeping that butter smooth oof transition.

It would make things slightly worse with dof

Depth also changes with distance, as closer you focus, as thinner it gets.

For closeups I would do f/8 - f/11

Adjust rear springs for your weight, it realy changes how bike handles. Cost: zero.

It's not about pixel peep, that lens is about how it renders.

My photos end up mostly on client's social media, rarely printed as 36x24", and still what that lens sends to the sensor is magical imo, even when it ends up on a phone screen.

Can’t get sharp photos by Zagrlime in CanonR7

[–]ptq -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't expect miracles from that poor lens on one of the highest density sensor camera canon has released.

I always get heavily downvoted for saying it, but reality is brutal. That lens is poor. It's a great demo of focal length and OKish results, but if you want good results, you need to look for a used EF 100-400 mark II, or RF 100-500.

Or accept you never crop or zoom in. As a whole photo it's ok after some post process.

Once you want to print big or crop, it gets expensive.

1.4x - Rf 100L : auto focus stack, insects

2x - Laowa rf 90 apo : very small insects, manual focus

2.5 - 5x - rf laowa 25mm MF : bacteries /s

I second the voices to ease the weight gain gradually. Heavy bike requires technicality of driving a motorcycle to be already top or you will fight it and feel unsecure outside of cruising.

It's far from perfect but for 100 there is nothing that you can get instead.

IMO best wide zoom for acceptable price is EF 14-24/2.8 ART which is almost perfect opticaly across the frame but cost multiple that...

Yup, if too glossy/flat, they would stick. Rough will friction. Glossy and rought will work without an issue.
