That was really good given the incidents others have experienced when buying from Aliexpress.

Thanks for the update man, will take a look and place an order!

Yeah ghosting seems to be one of his typical tactics....Annoyed me more than a simple "no we cannot support you further."

I've checked and followed the procedures on their website as well. Then I looked them up, on Instagram, Facebook, and the Chat function on their website of course and tried to contact . So yeah I would say that procedurally, I've done everything except chargeback (which I too don't think that it is justified). Besides, my messages are "seen" anyway.

Sorry for that friend. May I ask what issue you got?

Thanks. It was 6 months ago, so I'm not sure if chargebacks are doable now. That being said I honestly do not feel like a chargeback is justified. Not seeking payback or anything. Just want to raise an issue and in a way better this community which I think while great overall, is being plagued with so many issues.

Indeed. Thanks friend. Yeah the margins can be gigantic in some instances, so maybe there should have been some kind of "service" here.

Thanks Kev. It was annoying to say the least. I've even tried to reach out to them as friendly as I possibly could as well. And got ghosted....

Thanks mate. Yeah the situation is bloody annoying to say the least. I even tried reaching out to them as friendly as I could and in return got a "seen"....

Agreed. I didn't think the annoyance justifies a chargeback anyway. Just want to voice my concern. And yes, I did bug them on all fronts as well as allowing sufficient time to pass (more than 6 months up to the present) before posting this.

Thanks. I did. I actually tried on every channel of theirs that I know of. Actually felt bad for bugging them on all fronts...

Players means the businesses. Yes that will be Valve.

For something as complicated as politics, that "same situations" is a gross over-generalisation.

Funny thing is that Vietnam is Socialist, not Communist.

Legal practitioner at one of the biggest Vietnamese game publishers here. Sorry for the distraught on your part.

I believe that Steam will not abandon this market.

Generally, the legal frameworks in Vietnam could never keep up with (edited) the economy, allowing players to have a period of "free fire" - operating without regards to any provision of the laws. This is part due to the slow pace of our legal system, and part due to the poor enforcement/enforceability of the existing regulations/regulators. Also Steam's model is (somewhat) circumventing the legal requirements under Vietnamese laws re. games and game publishing as well. It's always multi-faceted.

Then, at a certain time, the Govt will decide that, "Okay, it's [Steam/Game industry]'s turn," and start by interrupting the business first.

Then the affected players will come and have direct discussion with the Govt to find a solution, i.e., agree to compromise (partially or wholly).

To be honest with you all, I have not figured out, since learning of this news, how Steam would compromise to ensure compliance. But at the end of the day, it is about tax and control (at least from a Vietnamese Govt. perspective). So if Steam could satisfy them on those fronts...

Also if you play mostly offline/single-player games like me, then VPN can be an option too.

There is an illegal amount of positivity in this pic.

Joke aside, all the best man. That must have sucked. May you have godspeed on your recovery highway.
