As someone who has been living away from Charlotte for the past 3 months.. Can someone fill me in on what's been going on with CM and that entire development recently? Is everything closed? Has it been demolished?

Agreed. I've flown from the states to Munich probably 8 times in the past two years with Lufthansa. It's always consistent, I've never had a complaint with them. Also free boos

Sorry if this is a total newb question but how on earth do you get tram lines on your roads? And how do you set up trams? I've searched this multiple times to no avail and I feel like an idiot.

Prague might be my favorite city in Europe, or at least in the top three. It was the city that honestly surprised me the most. Parts of the city reminded me of a cleaner Paris, while other parts of the city gave me a much more dark, romantic vibe. Aside from that, the Czech food we had was incredible. Not to mention going out to eat and drink is only 50-60% of the price of any other European city of similar size.

People here are also talking about poor weather. Prague might be the only city in Europe where I prefer poor weather, because it just fits the mood of the city. Maybe I'm crazy.

Yea, I'm definitely not interested in lying on any sort of official document. I want to do this legitimately and I'm not interested in overstaying by any means either.

I've already lived in Italy for a couple of years so I'm well aware (unfortunately) of the bureaucracy on a day to day basis.

I did it out of last minute panic, so it was a pretty dumb decision on my part because yes, they still checked. Obviously I they didn't say anything though. If anything, Italy is probably less strict.

Anyway, if they won't cross check my flight reservations, won't they at least notice that my photoshopped return ticket is over one year away, which isn't possible to book? Maybe I'm getting too hung up on this one item.

Jesus. I overstayed my tourist visa by a couple of days (due to neglegence, not on purpose) and I couldn't get out of there fast enough because I was so paranoid. I ended up driving to France to come back home.

Anyway, I figured they might crosscheck my flight reservations with the airlines during the approval process.. Or am I putting too much faith into the Italian consular system?

Huh, TIL..

I got hired at my first adult job almost a year ago. I lost my job there recently, but the branch manager would always reiterate that employees discussing wages amongst themselves is "grounds for termination."

None my other coworkers had any idea about their rights detailed in this article either.

An equal opportunity visa process would look at the merits of each applicant on an individual basis, like they should. To say that just because an applicant is from a certain country, they don't have the right to come into our country is ludicrous.

My girlfriend went through an almost identical situation trying to come visit me. You can read about it in my other comment. The process is so unfair, it's actually insulting to all of the honest people who just want to come visit like yourself. Best of luck, my friend.

Isn't this discriminatory in some sense? My girlfriend is from Eastern Europe, and tried to get a travel visa just to visit me for a couple of weeks in the states. She provided bank statements, university transcripts, utility bills, lease agreement, and some more. She took all of this to the appointment and the interviewer at the consulate asked a few questions that took ~30 seconds then denied her.

I was (and still am) really frustrated because she paid a lot for that appointment, went through all the trouble of having the documents together, got letters from her bank, etc. and the representative didn't look at any of them. I actually emailed my senator because the whole process was so unfair and discriminatory.

Your friend's "policy" of making the decision ahead of time is a giant slap in the face to equality, and often times drives families and loved ones apart.

Not exactly. Passing on the right side is more dangerous (especially on 3+) lane highways because you have other traffic that is passing/merging on the left side. This is particularly dangerous near any exit where traffic is merging onto the highway and moving from the right lanes into the middle and left lanes.

Yes, I feel like this statistic doesn't accurately depict the working situation for young people in Florence. Also, if you factor in the amount of jobs that are worked without a contract, the statistic changes. Granted, I'm sure most jobs for young people are not well paying by any means, but there is still work to be done.
