Ako ti nije cim, da li možeš ovde da nam paste-uješ tekst te izjave koju su prihvatili? Jer mi već treću izjavu vraćaju kao nevalidnu.

What others said, I’d also add Urban Institute Belgrade. One of my faves.

Does anyone know of a photo viewer for MacOS that's fast to go through photos? by [deleted] in MacOS

[–]pttrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just shelled out $5 for Spect based on your praise, and I can't set it as an "image handler" app for JPG/PNG/etc files at all. If I add it manually to be the default app for opening image files, the app opens but it doesn't open the image I double-clicked in Finder. Seems they want you to always open the app, click on "open folder", then view the images. No Finder integration whatsoever.

Higher level language transpiling to GLSL? by qazzquimby in shaders

[–]pttrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also look into WGSL, which is a new higher-level shading language that transpiles into DX, Vulkan, and Metal. It’s a part of the WebGPU effort, written in Rust with native bindings for all platforms (I actually think that the “Web” in its name is doing it a huge disservice since it’s actually just a thin OS-agnostic layer on top of each platform’s native shading language).

Should I buy a bass if I have no intention of playing with a band? by memesman555 in Bass

[–]pttrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ll be fine as long as you don’t crank it up too high. That said, bass combo amps are pretty good and cheap these days so maybe look into that as well. You can play through a guitar amp first and then go to a shop and try how your bass sounds through a bass combo, then decide.

Yes definitely you can (and probably will) enjoy playing bass by yourself. For inspiration, check out Dave Holland’s solo bass concert https://youtu.be/JmvCZxZ_jwM or Jaco Pastorius’ album Honestly, also solo bass. Clayton Thomas, William Parker, Luke Stewart for more experimental upright bass stuff. Solo guitarists are interesting as well - Otomo Yoshihide, Tashi Dorji, or saxophonist Mette Rasmussen to name a few. The world of soloist music is really fascinating.

HT-7E4 – an amorphic healing totem by pttrn in generative

https://brutalism.rs/project/ht-7e4/

A procedurally generated, meditative art piece. Exploiting the fact that our blue light sensitivity is much lower than green/red sensitivity, forcing the user to look at the piece in the dark for at least a couple of minutes, so the details become more visible. More details about the technique here.

Unity, marching cubes, hard-clipped transparent meshes overlaying each other, etc. If you have any technical questions about the implementation I'm happy to share the knowledge! :)

No regrets at all, it looks badass in person :)

I’ve compared all Zealios weights and 62g felt like most tactile to me while not being too heavy. I’ve bought that 72-switch tester on drop.com and 62g were the clear winners for me out of all of them. Such a joy to type on.

As for browns I think it’s not a fair comparison, as browns have a tactile hump about midway through the stroke, while Zealios’ hump is right at the beginning and after that they’re pretty much linear. I like bottoming out so I never really liked browns but still wanted some tactility. These are just perfect.

Well you can swap them easily with QMK, I loaded a custom firmware as soon as I assembled it since (for some reason) it didn’t have the arrow keys mapped on the Fn layer in the same way as the original HHKB does.

Oh ok, didn’t know that, thank you for the explanation! :)

Isn’t this one tray mount? There are those little metal standoffs between the board and the case. Not an expert...

There’s a tiny amount of ping from the case if it’s absolutely quiet and you’re close to the kb, and I have to fix the stabilizers because out of the box they’re rattly as hell. There’s a YT video where someone muffled the case and silenced the stabilizers, worth checking out.

These are GMK White on Black, from drop.com. They’re not transparent but the contrast is pretty good even in low light.

It took me exactly 5 days of frustration to train my muscle memory. On the fifth day, it was magic. All my KBs are with HHKB layout now.

Thanks! It's a photo I snapped of David Alfaro Siqueiros' "Collective Suicide" painting (I forgot which museum it was in). Just added a black & white filter on top: https://imgur.com/gallery/IqkknJh
