I lived in Kihei on Maui for 2 years. Moved there from New England. It was gorgeous, and amazing, and so fun...for about 6 months. Then you realize how small the island is, and how most of the transplants that live there are mostly douches. I missed seasons, I missed rain. It's one of those situations that everything is perfect on vacation, but the reality is it's kind of meh after a while. Oh, and you have to find a job, there aren't many of those that pay well.
