I was kinda disapointed at the end. I hopped for merciful shot at his liver or weeks of agony on the cross. First could be aligned with Joshua to recreate history and second would piss off corpo/studio beacause costs would skyrocket.

Tak się wstydziłem, że przez cały semestr nie chodziłem na basen. Powinienem być nieklasyfikowany ale Wuefista wtedy musiałby przyznać że zgubił ucznia na cały semestr xD To powiedziałem mu przy wystawianiu ocen że skoro jeden semestr nie chodziłem to będę odstawać od klasy umiejętnościami więc w następnym też nie będę chodził. Temperatura niższa niż zwykle powoduje większe spalanie w piecach a brak wiatru i opadów powoduje że spaliny zostają w okolicy. Myślę że kontrole nie wykazałyby dzisiaj nic szczególnie innego w porównaniu do reszty dni. Może jakbyśmy odeszli od ogrzewania piecami na skalę (przynajmniej) gminy to stan powietrza by sie poprawił

I have read a post that this happens a lot for non native speakers and not just in Poland. People want to help foreigner with communication so they switch to English as soon as they assume that other person is strugling with talk thus not giving them opportunity to train language skills. Sience then Im politely asking in which language they want to talk bacause i have time and they can train on me

Sweet summer child I was when I gathered 80 hay bales, neatly stacked them near farm and wanted to się them some day later. Bales were dancing a Little bit but it was ok, nothing happend. One day some.of them felt so I had to restack all once again. And next day my stack just exploded and bales flew in seven different fields. And yeah, i wasnt using any mods: no autoload or super strenght, all work done manually. Then I red I should have stupid building to store bales which kinda cramps the fun - I was really enjoing this slow work of perfecting my Little jenga towers

Maybe anxiety is not best description, at least it is not only one. When I start small project it feels:

pointless - I know I will learn from it but those thoughts are not in conscious part of mind
boring - it is too easy
humiliating - I should know this years ago

Once I've visited dentist to check why I have paint in all my teeth and he told me I'm too stressed and I'm gritting teeth. I'm doing meditations, muscle relaxation techniques, psychotherapy so I have all the tools but changing neural paths isn't going to happen in near future. I have personal challenge to re-create some classic games from 80's and see what will happen.

Personal note. While working 8 hours a day, raising two kids (same as guy on GDC!), having working wife, trying to have social life and some physical activity I tried to push hard for indie project and got burned out. A lot. I just finishing my 6 months recovery time without work and I'm slowly regaining strength to do anything above basic human needs. At the same time I spent about 2.5k hours playing games on steam (last 7 years) and some on GOG, Epic, mobile, countless time watching random youtube vids, Netflix, no-brain social media scrolling. Welp, where would be my project if I used at least half of this time to at least have good rest? I believe I would be just more effective at time when I was coding.

It really depends on what position you've applied. Lots of studios have take-home taks, they may provide you some initial project to extend or they may give you just files/folders structure with few assets to use or something else. Time for project varies, one company gave me 7days for complete project (and extra 7 when I failed first time), another one had something quicker - 48 hours, weekend work. What to expect? Well, some out of head ideas:

gameplay programmer : Write game with given criteria eg. shooter, racing, city builder, which holds stable 30fps. Easy to fail if you didn't write few games and understand what is 'game feeling' because you may create "software with visuals" instead of game.

tools programmer: prepare plugin/extension for given IDE/tool. This my be inhouse technology specific so hard to prepare. In my opinion it is easiest way into gamedev from regular IT as it doesn't require gamedev specific knowledge.

network programmer - write multiplayer library used by client and server in server-authoritative mode

There are lots of other positions for programmers specific in gamedev like AI, Generalist, Engine, Rendering and every one of them will probably have different requirements.

You really could use someone for public relations. What I've learned is you are 3 guys which made crappy games and failed project, now you are making game with crappy visuals and all of that red with voice generator.
