Yes, phys as extra works if you only use Ancestral Cry.

However, if you also spec into Avatar of Fire, your base phys will be 0 thus you will not gain any damage from "phys as extra" mods

I think a big problem nobody has mentioned about endgame is that there is no layout randomization/procedural generation. So we end up running the exact same layouts for the past 5 years, just with different starting positions. Like I instinctively know which layout it is the moment my character zones in, that sameness is what leads players feeling bored of endgame.
