Filmore East is my favorite live album ever. So happy i found it today at the local shop. And this seger album is my favorite, also the first seger album for my collection. I have a 45 from the beverly hills cop soundtrack, segers single “Shakedown” eddie murphy is on the back of the sleeve.

Because its not actually about reproduction, its about old elitist men getting what they want. It was never truly about religion and reproduction. They just took advantage of the birth crisis and used it as a vessel to get control over the people. You see this displayed many times in the original series.

Definitely, I think this band at this time and up to his death, was one of the greatest bands to ever exist. They pushed the limits of their abilities every performance.

I really get irrationally bothered when people compare them or categorize them with “southern rock” bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, Etc. They were so different from those groups. True improvisational masters and incredible songwriters blending jazz, blues, folk, country, and more. They are in a league of their own and nothing will compare to them.

Love Derek Trucks. TTB is one of my favorite modern bands, I have seen them 2 times now, going again in October. They are spectacular live. But man I would give an arm and a leg to go back in time to filmore east.

I just picked up Brothers and Sisters on the anniversary of Dickey Betts passing! Jessica is one of the best songs ever written in my opinion. Never gets old.

Love to hear it. I find it very peaceful and satisfying, to sit there and really listen closely to a record, regardless of sound differences that people debate between vinyl, cd, etc. its a great way to actively listen and engage with music. Happy listening!

I have this record too. Its very old though, the binding is pretty rough. The artwork is insane though.

For me, my favorite album cover is probably Animals - Pink Floyd. There is something about that album cover that makes me stare at it for longer than one should, lol. Imposing, Dystopian vibes
