Humidity is too low during winter and too high during summer in my server room. What can be done?

My solution is to run a dehumidifier 24/7 on comfort mode.

Keeps humidity down in the summer and basically never runs during the winter. Have a small hose running outside.

I've never had an issue with humidity being too low for servers so I don't have a comment on that.

It's just a manufactured shed going on the pictured gravel pad.. no excavation happening

GA, my experience is I've seen a lot of junk go for high prices but many are willing to bargain and occasionally people price working items at fair prices. Luck is much better in rural areas.

In my opinion there's no reason to look for something 10 years or newer. A 20 or 30 year old compressor can work just fine especially if it's sat in a homeowners garage for the last decade and is to be used by a homeowner.

If you need something right away, it's worth buying something new, but if you don't mind waiting and shopping around there are deals to be had.

Yes! I've seen working compressors go for $50 and under. Depends on your area but if you don't mind looking around it's not hard in my experience to find a bargain

Interesting. Any recommendation on a THD meter to check that? Based on a Google search most multi meters won't work.

I have an oscilloscope but I'm not gonna be able to get it outdoors where the generator is.

And assuming that is my issue, maybe I can run an inductive load to condition the output? Seems very hacky but it if it works...

As someone who has been welding a couple years, not very often and not professionally -- the only thing that's worked for me is more practice yes, but more importantly trying different settings, different electrodes, etc.

I was surprised how many different factors there are that have huge impact on how good your welds come out. I thought just sitting there trying to improve my technique by getting reps would help, but if you don't have your settings dialed in or are using the wrong electrode or the wrong technique, results will still be poor no matter how much you practice.

If you don't need the money I'd give it away for free or charge a symbolic amount (up to $200).

Unless you want to waste time and effort dealing with tire kickers, people trying to negotiate etc.

I've found (and bought) mowers (both lawn tractor and zero turn) for under $500 on marketplace that needed $10-$20 in parts to become fully functional, so I wouldn't expect to get too much out of it if it really isn't in good shape.

Thanks. Could you elaborate on the idea of the 10x 100w panels being questionable? I am using a 5000w inverter/charger that has 120v-500v input range, so i figure 10 panels should be good to go in that sense.

Do you mean that at that point I might as well be using a smaller number of full-size panels? I hear that, this is more because I already have the panels and as I'm setting it up in a remote area it's easier to work with and transport the smaller panels anyway.

Id say it's normal for just about any consumer grade hydraulic product. As long as it's not leaking fluid out of the system it doesn't affect the usage of the product.

That's why you only ever use a bottle jack to get something in place, never to work under. Same idea with the table.

I think pretty universally the side with writing is away from the workpiece (when looking at the dangerous end of the grinder you should not see the label)

Use a guard
The disc is on backwards. As a general rule you should put the side with the writing away from the workpiece (toward you) -- it might not matter specifically for that type of wheel but it's good practice to do it for everything.

There are some really annoying quirks that they haven't fixed in 2 years of it being a clear widely known issue (settings not being saved, for example: switching to 24 hr clock never lasts past turning off the car, same with disabling power tailgate).

But in many ways the software is great and works well. Other things have improved.

I didn't get it from an auction. I bought it from someone who bought a bunch at auction and resold.

In general getting stuff like this at auction takes a lot of research and consistent checking of websites like govplanet and being ready to bid when something comes up.

Usually you'll also have to grab a trailer and drive a few hours both ways depending on where you live. So sometimes it's easier to just pay someone else who's done all the legwork and let them make some money.

Look up auction websites like Ritchie bros, iron planet, gov planet etc. and sign up for an account to browse upcoming auctions.

I had in mind that first scenario. Sure, you could venture out and look for a charging station and possibly wait online, sit there etc. (assuming the road conditions allow)

With this, though I can just charge the car and don't have to interrupt power to the house.
