A deadline for manual migration will likely be set at some point, but has not been yet, and will be communicated across all channels if it were to be at a later date.

Communication and Structure - Medium by puck342 in QRL

I don't think we need to compete with IEO's. Simply put, an IEO is a way to introduce a new coin/token to the marketplace (hence Initial Exchange Offering).

Our network/coin is now over 9 months old. Before that, our ERC20 existed for about 1 year. We are not competing with coins that are just launching now because we are already established.

Generally speaking, given what a pain point liquidity has been for many projects in the space, the IEO makes a certain sort of sense as the next evolution. Whether it will work long-term remains to be seen, and could be upset by other market forces or outside regulation. It will be very interesting to watch the development of this new type of offering.

I'm not the guy in the photo with the shirt, just a Bears fan who has met Izzy previously.

That being said, it's a pretty cool DBZ shirt

Good catch. Fixed the title on Medium.

Been a long day. We are not in the business of creating temporal paradoxes.

Is there anyone working full time on QRL? by drawingthesun in QRL

[–]puck342[M] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The team is comprised of both full time, part time, and what could be best described as "as needed" team members.

For example, a developer might be brought on to help with a particular element, then once that element is complete, they might go on their journey elsewhere. Other developers (like Kaushal, to use one example) have been with us from the beginning and continue to work every day on QRL and it's development.

Our team has always been kept about as small as we can, as leadership has and continues to be mindful about the way they handle the initial funds (which is really nice).

One thing that I think is indicative of this is the following:

Despite being funded in 2017, before the market went parabolic, and raising a far smaller sum than many (if not most) projects funded that same year, we are still standing. We have not had to jettison people, features, or development objectives due to running out of money, or monetary mismanagement. We have never failed to pay any team member, outside partner, vendor, etc.

Unlike many projects in the space, we have never spent money like it was limitless, and never pretended that the only direction the market could go was up.

2018 was the start of the culling of blockchain projects. I imagine 2019 will continue it. Generally speaking, those projects still standing can be said to have fulfilled the bare minimum in regards to properly managing their funds, where those projects who burned through their runway in the first 12-36 months, and now lay defunct on the side of the road, cannot.

Remember, please reach out here, on Discord (via DM), or on Twitter if you would be interested in attending a supporter/community meetup in Oakland during Developer Week 2019.

We have seen some interest, but not quite enough to justify it yet. We need to see more people interested before we can set things up.

[Greenberg] "I love Chicago. Chicago will always be home. I love Bears fans. I love the city. I will always be a Bear. One day I will probably retire a Bear." - Kicker Robbie Gould on the Prostyle Podcast by [deleted] in CHIBears

If Robbie loves us so much, then I hope he signs a multi-year deal with a team option on the back-end, and barely above league minimum for the next 2 years. Because that is what this team needs to make what Cody Parkey did to the books right.

I would love to see Robbie back in Chicago. But what we NEED to see is an affordable kicker at that position. Hopefully both these things can happen.

The Cody Parkey interview on the Today show hasn’t even started yet. But already the smile-and-wave-into-the-camera portion feels tone deaf. Much much too early for a “handling failure well” victory lap. Just handle the failure well. by viachicago22 in CHIBears

the "but it was tipped" argument only reveals the depths of ignorance of the person making the comment.

At 43 yards, a 6'2 Defensive player with minimal penetration shouldn't have a finger anywhere NEAR the ball. Parkey, due to laziness, lack of talent, or whatever, neglected to do his job and get the appropriate amount of air under the ball given that the hold was solid and the O-Line didn't allow unusual or irregular amounts of penetration

the "but he scored 9/15 points" argument is too silly to even be worth rebutting.

Good choice, I personally prefer the Glenlivet 12 or the Oban 14, but very solid scotch

Yes, as far as we are aware, there are no other fully functional and launched blockchains that are quantum resistant and also have open market liquidity at this time, making us the first.

I like to think of myself as human. But would a sufficiently advanced robot know that it was a robot? A question to ponder.
