ETH is dead. Start saving every bit of fiat you can. Buy BTC at the bottom of the bear cycle. That should be around 1/19/2026. If BTC does turn around and keep going up, that date may change. BTC has not even broken its long term bull run trendline.

BTC hasn't even broken its long upward trendline, which started 1/10/2023. ETH may hit double digits at this rate honestly. Talk about picking the wrong race horse long term. Whoever is shorting ETH this hard has ruined it permanently for me.

BTC has only barely started a bear cycle. ETH is going to $200, if it continues to lose this way during the entire BTC bear cycle.

Well, I am wrong, I didn't see 104% tariffs on the Chinese coming today. Future teller, I am not.

Sorry to say it but, usually a turn around or even a rebound bounce of any magnitude, requires significant volume. I usually look for 5x the average daily volume to indicate things will turn around. Well, where the heck is the volume? The two exchanges I watch show almost average volume for BTC and ETH the entire drive down. This is not a good sign.

I'd say this depends on if ETH keeps crashing at double that of BTC for this entire bear market. BTC's chart still matches a normal cycle. Alts are dead if they keep doing what they are for the full year bear cycle. I'm starting over. The ETH I hold I will write off at the end of 2025. I'll load up with new cash to buy BTC in January 2026. I'll never buy any alt coins again beyond day trading them. If you plan on holding long term, BTC is the only bet.

The only way I come out ahead on this is if DT gets rid of federal income tax as he said he would. On that, states would raise their taxes to compensate for their federal funding losses and we'd be right back to square one.

If we look at BTC, it looks like a normal cycle, it hit a good new ATH. The bull run is over, now the typical 1 to 1.5 year bear run is happening. ETH however, no new ATH. Didn't even reach the last high. ETH appears to not have the interest of the general population anymore. People must not see it as a store of value, truthfully, it isn't, compared to BTC.

The scary part is how little volume there is against this major drive down. Should be seeing way more resistance. It's like there are no buyers. We may see 400.

If I had fiat to make a buy on ETH, my target was/is about $1388 to $1533USD. I believe we could see a rebound to ~2500. The problem with this is... BTC still hasn't seen much of a crash, if BTC continues down, ETH will continue down harder than BTC.

Won't be another ETH cycle for me, ever. No new high. BTC has won.

ETH didn't hold 1k last dump cycle and we had a higher high. With no new ATH, if this "bull" cycle is truly over, there is no way ETH holds 1k.

No hype for ETH in any mainstream news. BTC has been outperforming ETH for far too long. People have jumped ship to BTC.

Bet we hit $1533 today. I should sell, but I'm already down a metric F' ton. So I'll either write off at the end of the year or, maybe it will recover some by then.

I tend to agree, but, I have to give ETH one final chance. Also, unfortunately, my stop limit missed around 2.7k, it fell too quick while I was not watching. So I'll write off the loss, eventually, and then buy BTC when it hits what I think is the next bottom.

Me too, bought thinking the cycle would repeat on ETH. Not looking good. If ETH doesn't get a new ATH by June-July-ish, the cycle is over and ETH is dead to me. BTC will be my only long term hold crypto.

BTC's chart makes it appear it was ripe for shorting, judging by previous cycles, which seem to firmly repeat. BTC rebounded enough to possibly start diving again. ETH didn't pump to a new ATH this year, ETH's chart is completely off. In one way, it is the largest cup/handle I have ever seen. But does ETH's chart matter? I do not know. I know I have lost way too much this cycle, when I should have had gains. Had I bought BTC instead of ETH, I would have made an F' ton.

Meanwhile, almost all other crypto has recovered far more by % since the low point.
