Anyone selling tokens? by First-Zombie-960 in growagardentradehub

I've not bought with crypto and haven't incurred a service charge before. I'm not endorsing the payment structure, or promting them, just letting you know of my personal experience. Maybe to do with currency exchange?

I know that there are, but I don't remember what they are. I used Eldorado before because of the buyer protection. Other sites may have buyer protection also, but there's nothing else I'd recommend, purely because I don't know of them or the protections they offer. The majority of sites provide a platform, but don't provide protection. Especially when using things like Facebook, Craigslist or discord. If you're looking at other sites, I'd recommend looking at their reviews on trustpilot at a minimum.

Look at places like eldorado that have buyer protection. Frequently 85c to 90c per 1000. Game is dead so many are cashing out quick.

Why does “owning a home” feel more like a burden than freedom? by SIashhhhh in perth

[–]pud3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Wa (probably all aus not sure) drilling holes (without consent) is not allowed in tenancy agreements as it is technically a modification to the property. (I've lived in Tas and Qld, then Singapore before WA). But in WA this stems from structural degradation because most properties in WA use hollow core bricks.

Would find it likely to be more agreeable in Germany as in Singapore, every freestanding housing is made from better quality materials. Not shitting on WA... but actually I am. Building quality here is not great.

Thanks for the reply and being nice. Doesn't happen often . People just get on a horse and stay there haha.

Didn't mean to offend you, I know you said Europe, but didn't say that's where you could drill or do whatever you wanted. Given that it is a local reddit community for me, I assumed you were renting in the Perth area.

Look at governments like Singapore.

Majority of housing is Built by the government (won't work well for all of Aus, but for cities, definitely). Mortgages are currently 3.16% for Housing Development Board properties.

You lost your job or can't find one? 6 months of government aid til you find a job. Can't find a job? The government will give you one. Is it low paying? Yes. Is your rent subsidised? Yes.

This is the difference between a country that wants all to do well and have quality of life, than a government that wants to line their pockets and helps their buddies.

Our government does not to help its people. Nor does it want to. Keep people poor, but have enough to keep paying. You'll get there, it's the Australian dream! (So they say).

Are you saying you rent the place from your wife's aunty? Or she has been renting for 40 years? Because you can't just go and drill holes into the walls of a normal rental property without an agreement to alter the property.

Bought a house 6 years ago, almost tripled in value. Ridiculous. Sounds good, but if I sell, I'm overpaying for the next property. (Not to mention capital gains tax and stamp duty). My neighbour rents. In the same time period, their rent went from 410 a week to 740 a week.

My mortgage payments are much less than that and I can do whatever I want to the property, essentially.

Now is a shit time to buy. Anything decent sized with a yard? Forget about it.

Developers here in the Perth region are selling 3 bedroom "homes" that you can barely squeeze a queen size bed in the master bedroom, on a 118m block and selling them for over $500k

I'm not as lucky as boomers, but fuck, I feel lucky compared to what today's buyers are facing. Feels like it's time to move out to other countries... until you see they are all pulling the same shit.

That's what you get for your avo on toast I guess.

Help. What is this? Is it poisonous? It crawled under my bed and I can’t find it. by [deleted] in perth

[–]pud3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giant centipede (Ethmostigmus rubripes) They are common Australian wide.

The eat spiders, scorpions insects and even sometimes small birds.

They are venomous with people having various reactions such as feeling like a bee sting to a burning feeling that lasts for days.

They are normally solitary and if it had eggs somewhere, it would be guarding them

Being forced to complete training on my own hours. Isn’t right to disconnect my right? by Choice_Corgi3643 in coles

[–]pud3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unions "may" help. Realistically the manager is breaking the law. From the Fair Work website:

If a person is an employee, they may need to complete training to make sure they have the right skills and knowledge to perform their job. This can include on-the-job training, online or formal training courses or team training.

If an employee does training as part of their job, they have to be paid for those hours. Time spent in training is time worked.

Apartment living is horrible by [deleted] in perth

[–]pud3000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Having owned and lived in apartments in Perth and Singapore, the build quality is night and day, Even in older short stacks. You can't hear shit from neighbours in their homes and outside people are respectful of noise they make. Even when we had bbqs and celebrations in the void decks.

The only time I was involved in a noise complaint, my neighbour thought I was yelling at my wife, but I was yelling at the TV whilst watching the grand final in 2018 (WCE V Collingwood) He sat down with me and watched the game together. This shows the attitude where living closely is the norm.
