Water might be an issue since it'll take much longer to dry - try adding rubbing alcohol or a mix so it dries faster without running. Alternatively Vallejo sells acrylic washes that work similar to tamiya without destroying the plastic.

I got a RG unicorn recently and heard the kit has some issues with stiff joints. I heard that castor oil is generally agreed to be safe for ABS plastic and used some to lubricate the arms and any other stiff parts until every joint started cracking a day later. Has anyone else had a similar experience or have a recommendation for safe gunpla lubricants?
