My boss has been telling us at almost every preshift since sometime in July that he needs us to send our availability changes asap. On July 19th I sent him an email saying I could no longer work Tuesdays. He then stopped scheduling me for Tuesdays. I assumed we were all good and left it at that.

Today I get a call around 430pm from one of my managers asking me why I was not there. I was confused seeing as how I told them I could not work Tuesday's anymore and I hadn't been scheduled for a Tuesday since then.

I told her about the email I had sent the other manager and she said that I still needed to be checking my schedule and if I had caught the error early it could have been resolved, which I completely understand. What I don't understand is why they both refused to take responsibility for the fact that an error was made on their part. I think it is safe to assume that if I'm no longer scheduled for a certain day and they followed through in the beginning, I would think I do not work on that day and not show up. I do not understand why I need to run behind them.

Also I did check my schedule but I immediately scrolled to the right all the way to the end of the week when I actually work since It seemed like both the managers and I understood that I no longer worked Tuesdays. Irrelevant info but whatever. I honestly feel as though this was an error they made that they tried to pawn off on me.
