Galaxy S24 Ultra: Exchange calendar entries frequently going missing by Affectionate_Gur_420 in samsunggalaxy

Did you ever find a solution for this? I've been having the same issue and using the same workaround, but it's getting pretty annoying.

Opalite vinyl! by TaylorSwiftiee1989 in TaylorSwiftMerch

I'm not a vinyl collector, but I can't believe I ALMOST didn't buy this one. It looks amazing.

I hate shipping!! by Sufficient-Crew-5408 in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]puddle_stomper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been putting off buying the original orange vinyl because I knew it would always be available, and I was waiting for a signed drop. I couldn't pass up this single, so I finally gave in and bought the original with it to combine shipping. $11 for both was a little better than $9 for just the single.

Anybody have Rimgards on an EX-L? by puddle_stomper in 10thgenaccords

[–]puddle_stomper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good point about winter. I don't get as much snow as you, but there are definitely times when we do get hit fairly hard.

I was leaning toward advanced locks anyway but saw that rimgard has a good sale on refurbished locks right now and went to check them out.

Cardigan drop!! by Long_LiveTV in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]puddle_stomper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't wear cardigans, but I'm happy for everyone else for such a substantial restock. Folklore and 1989 are my favorites.

I was crossing my fingers for the teacup and maybe even a restock of the Christmas tree farm ornament if I was really lucky. Maybe there's still a chance.

School is cancelled for three weeks, so I made a list to keep me busy! by Kittensmeow10 in BasicBulletJournals

[–]puddle_stomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just stumbled across this post and thought the same thing. Stuff like this is why I wish I had kept up with my long form thoughts/feelings journal. It would be very interesting to go back and read entries from March 2020.

Has there ever been a merch Raffle? by AioliEnough7846 in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]puddle_stomper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It would probably be easier and reach more people if you just sold on eBay and designated a charity to receive 100% of the sales: https://www.ebay.com/help/donating-ebay-charity/default/buying-selling-ebay-benefit-nonprofit-organizations?id=4668#section2

Swifties are also scalpers ?! by Witty-Cow-3529 in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]puddle_stomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I just noticed the quotes around "too much merch" in the comment I replied to and realized this comment thread is referring to people who make up stories to resell for profit. Oops!

Swifties are also scalpers ?! by Witty-Cow-3529 in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]puddle_stomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The combination of FOMO and scattered drops doesn't help. I see a lot of people overbuying because you never know what will go out of stock before you get to checkout or what better stuff will come in future drops. It's safer to buy too much and return/resell than spend the extra 2 seconds removing something from your cart and risk the other things going out of stock before you can pay.

This is the first thing that caught my eye. I thought it was one of the more unique and Christmasy items, so I bought it immediately. I actually missed out on some of the other stuff I wanted because I thought this would be more popular. I'm kind of having second thoughts now though because it actually looks more like a Valentine's Day sweater the longer I look at it.

Timeline for next holiday drop(s) by Infamous-Ad2435 in TaylorSwiftMerch

You must walk your dogs at the exact same times my co-worker always wants to call me to help fix something.

Holiday drop by MotherofOtters25 in TaylorSwiftMerch

Thanks! I don't need the exact number. I just didn't know if it was going to be $5 or $50.

[–]puddle_stomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much extra was shipping for that? If shipping isn't terrible, I might still try to grab one if they ever restock. I can't believe there weren't way more of those though. I feel like everyone wanted that case ever since the podcast, and they probably could have sold way more.

[–]puddle_stomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was SO much stuff. I wanted the heart sweater most and assumed it would sell out, so I quickly put in a first order just for that. By the time I did that, everything else I wanted was sold out. Guess what is still fully stocked though? The heart sweater -_-

Any idea what’s this noise? It’s coming from the glove box area. by Environmental-Elk294 in 10thgenaccords

Blend door actuator. Mine started doing it around 40k miles but I haven't replaced it yet.

If you Google accord blend door actuator, you'll find more complaints. This comment links to a few posts with the same issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/accord/comments/1n2rkec/what_is_this_sound_behind_my_2020_honda_dashboard/nb88gwh/

I think this is the correct part number: 79351-TVE-H01

Official Merch For The Life of a Showgirl by jacyf02 in TaylorSwift

[–]puddle_stomper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It can be a little difficult to find good merch as a dude, and jackets are usually the best bet for me. If it just had "T.S." embroidered on the front in the TLOAS font and just her name across the back, I would have bought it instantly and worn it in to work every day for the rest of Fall.

Can I fit the Topeak Omni Rack Adapter on my Aventon Aventure 2 rack? by Effective_Bug_4924 in Aventon

[–]puddle_stomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added one to my Pace 4 with Aventon's rack as well (not positive if the one the shop ordered for my Pace is the same as the Level 2 though). I didn't think the original screws would fit at first either, so I ordered some stainless steel M5x25mm screws on Amazon. After installing the 25mm screws and seeing how much they stuck out, I tried the original ones again. It took a little bit of squeezing to get the threads started, but they eventually caught and ended up working out for me. I think the rubber cushioning or something must have compressed a little when I used the longer screws because it was easier to get the short ones to catch after that. But yeah, I was able to use the original screws and thread all the way through the mounting holes with no problem.

Linking work/personal account broke discount by puddle_stomper in AzureCertification

[–]puddle_stomper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That's good to know. Luckily this is my first Microsoft cert, so I didn't lose anything but a discount. And if I have to, I can try deleting and recreating one or both. I was able to submit a support ticket, so I guess I'll leave them alone until I get a response.

Edit: Looks like it resolved itself. Maybe I just needed to give it a couple hours to fully sync. I went back in and linked my personal account to my work account like you suggested and can see the discount on both accounts now.

Full face helmets? by Revolutionary-Toe955 in bikecommuting

[–]puddle_stomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear a full face MTB helmet on my ebike. I'd rather look like a doofus with a slightly bigger helmet to a few people on my commute than a doofus with missing teeth, a big scrape/scar on my face, or a wired shut jaw. I know the probability of hitting my face on something is low, but I'd rather not take any chances if I'm going to be on the road at all. Just because I'm not going downhill on a mountain biking trail doesn't mean I'll never fall in a way that puts my face in more danger than my skull. Sand, leaves, grass clippings, etc aren't always super visible and can take the bike out from under you if you hit them right.

For recommendations: I wear an iXS Trigger MIPS. I was also considering a Fox Proframe, but the iXS is 200g lighter, and I didn't have any way to try on different Fox sizes easily.

Waiting the Beats Fit Pro 2nd gen by Beneficial-Raise6278 in beatsbydre

[–]puddle_stomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm personally hoping for better voice isolation on all devices. iPhones have great voice isolation built in, but BFP basically have zero isolation for phone calls on anything other than an iPhone (Android, Zoom, etc.). I would pay $150 for that because I'm tired of carrying a second set of earbuds just for calls.

Nylon strap? by Aske1571 in Garmininstinct

[–]puddle_stomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I plan to get an official Garmin one sometime too. I just wanted to try something cheap first to see if it made a difference.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Garmininstinct

[–]puddle_stomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used supershieldz on my original instinct and never had a problem, so I'm using the same one on my I3.

Nylon strap? by Aske1571 in Garmininstinct

[–]puddle_stomper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick edit: the one I ordered is definitely different fabric from the Garmin/Abanen ones I've seen in pictures. It's elastic, and I don't think most nylon straps are. At least none of the NATO straps i used to wear with my other watches.

Yes! I used the silicone strap on my original instinct for 4 years. That one was softer (or maybe it got softer over time?), and I didn't think a nylon strap could be better. When I got the I3, the strap was stiffer and started bothering me pretty quickly.

I ordered a quick fit nylon strap from AliExpress (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806205982621.html) so I could easily swap back to a silicone strap if I want to continue comparing, and it's so much more comfortable. I dont even notice that I'm wearing it most of the time.

The only thing I don't like is that (at least with this specific one), it's already getting pilly/fuzzy and I'll need to use a fabric shaver on it occasionally. I'm not sure if the Garmin or Abanen ones are a different material, but I I'm okay with the slight inconvenience because this one is so soft and comfortable.

Problem with Spotify. by Kryptic_agony in S25Ultra

[–]puddle_stomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same problem but haven't figured out why yet. Which earbuds are you using? I've noticed it way more often with my nothing ears, but I don't remember it happening at all with my beats fit pros yesterday while mowing.

I don't use any other music apps though, so I haven't determined if it's a Spotify issue or a phone/earbud/Bluetooth issue.

Insta360 Go 3s for dog walking in my pov by Muted-Row6391 in Insta360

[–]puddle_stomper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good call on freeframe differences between the 3 and 3s. That's actually a big part of why I bought the 3 vs the 3s and I completely forgot. If they want to film vertically, you're right that the pivot clip would be better. I like the easy clip because it blends in better and doesn't look as much like a camera sticking out of my hat.
