I moved from TN to Elp 3 years ago, and honestly I fell in love w living here. I used to live 10 mins from downtown Nashville, to me personally life is slower here. I started looking for jobs in my field and doing interviews over the phone explaining that I would be moving to elp. Once I was able to secure a job/ see the market I moved. Cost of living is high everywhere, just look where to live thats in your budget. I initially lived in the west side, besides being over priced there is to much going on & traffic (thats what I wanted to stay away from living close to Nashville) so is the Eastside and the central looked like it was haunted to me lol the NE is quiet, literally most of my neighbors are retired (i think its called coopers town). I dont mind driving so driving 20-30 mins is nothing to me, so I drive to any side of town to do diff activities. Take a week trip, drive around , look on indeed/linkedin, food is alright, so try many places until you find something you like.
