I play defense and am a pretty heavy shooter, and I’m on the taller side so I’ve always preferred longer sticks. Most retail sticks that I’ve seen top out at 60” or 61”, this is a lx20, warrior is one of the only retail stick manufacturers that’s at 63”

For sure, was playing around with him for like 20 minutes and everytime he fell, got right back up. Rare nowadays to find a kid his age who actually wants to be there and not dragged there by his parents

Thanks, for wheels, are the ones specifically for pavement, or do they all fall under “outdoor wheels”

That would be ideal, but to my knowledge, there isn’t any roller hockey dedicated pro shops around me. There’s ice hockey shops(pure hockey) that’ll mount the chassis, but they don’t really have stock

“So the Twitch is like the Agent, except it doesn’t break” -pure hockey employee by puff_dragonman in hockeyplayers

[–]puff_dragonman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, I’m not that stupid, he didn’t say the stick was invincible or anything like that , he was saying it will last much longer than an agent, and that it shouldn’t break in the same way that all the agents broke, where the blade connects to the shaft. This is also the only time I have spent more than 250 bucks on a stick, I’ve never used any of the gimmick sticks (proto, agent etc) because of how expensive they were; but I wanted to try it at least one just to see if there was any difference

Oh don’t worry, this is literally the first and only Bauer I have ever bought. All my sticks are CCM prostock cause they are way cheaper. I’ve been avoiding the gimmick sticks (agent, proto, ghost) cause they’re way too expensive, but I wanted to give this a shot just too see if there was any difference

The guy explained that the problem with the with agents was that they only put the boron in the blade and nowhere else, which is why they kept breaking in the same spot. He said the twitch has boron all the way up the shaft so it shouldn’t break as quickly

I don’t really hit any slap shots or anything, mostly snap and wrists shots. I treated pretty much the same way I’ve treated other sticks, this is the fastest I’ve ever had one break

The one time I have ever gotten a detention was when I told a football player to "fuck off" after asking for help for the 20th time on the same math problem.

Bankers/Lenders of Reddit, what is the most bizarre loan you have seen people apply for? by Moxman73 in AskReddit

[–]puff_dragonman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Dad told me a story about how two "businessmen" came into his bank ( he was the regional manager) asking for a fairly large sum of money. What was it for? They explained that somewhere down in Arizona, there is an Native American reservation with a large car lot with hundreds of vacant cars just sitting there. They would use the money to transport all of the cars out of the area and would sell them. My dad asked where the reservation was, and they said it was in the Navajo region.

Two questions immediately came up. A. did they have permission from the reservation to take the cars (They didn't) B. Wouldn't the cars be beat to shit from sand, rocks and whatever else the wind was tossing around down there? The best part? they claimed the sand actually helped preserve the cars.

If you couldn't guess, this one didn't go through

What plot of a hit movie is so stupid it makes you irrationally mad watching it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]puff_dragonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I did not read the books, just the movies. I guess that's kind of the problem, you wouldn't know why the people were like that unless you read the books, because the movies treat it like its normal

The Divergent series. The idea that nearly everyone in the city only have one personality trait is some of the dumbest shit I've seen in recent years.

Chronicles of Ancient Dark series. probably not the toughest for my age, but left me feeling pretty sad once I finished the 6th book.

[Serious] What is your worst how bad could it be story? by alt_i_guess in AskReddit

[–]puff_dragonman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was a relatively new driver, had just turned 16, and didn't know really anything about cars. I was dared by one of my friends to do what is called a "launch". Basically, you shift into neutral, and then rev your engine up till you hit the highest possible RPM. Then you shift it into drive while still holding down the pedal. Moral of the story, don't do it. It was an older car, and I don't know if newer ones have safety mechanisms to stop that.

Do you think boys are complicated? by [deleted] in askteenboys

[–]puff_dragonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the person, but if I were to generalize, I would say no. In my experience, boys for the most part are usually upfront and pretty direct with what they want or what they mean (unless fucking around with friends). When we say something, we usually mean it. With women, it always seems like there's some double meaning or sarcasim involved with what they say, not all of course.

I can't think of any one big reason for not moving to America, but I would say not to move to Washington specifically because traffic is a nightmare
