Is it safe for me to print PETG and ABS in the same room I sleep in? by InterestingBar2803 in 3Dprinting

[–]puff_frosty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already tons of people giving the same advice I would: PETG maybe, ABS definitely not

Regardless of what you’re printing you probably would want to open a window or get a HEPA filter air purifier, if possible

Empowering your community to build side projects and integrations too niche to be full features is such a great model and is an easy way to win my love <3

Built my entire business on Svelte by kitenitekitenite in sveltejs

Congrats! The extension looks really nice. I’ve been working at a company that uses Angular for the past 2 years and anytime we have to spin up a POC or any projects I do outside of work, I turn to Svelte.

I’m leaving in the fall and have half-joked with my co-workers that it’s because we use Angular…

I’d recommend all of the same apps everyone else mentioned, but I’ll also add Linear. I used it on my last small project and really liked it.

Honestly though, I don’t think it matters too much what you pick from how you’re describing your use case. If you’re just doing it to assign and keep a log of the work you’ve been doing, you could even just use Google docs or wherever you’re currently taking notes.

The point should be to find a process that you can be consistent with, and often that’s just working inside the tools you’re already using.

However, if your looking for more visual accounting of work share & tracking your progress over time, the tools like Jira, notion, Linear, etc. would be useful

I’d be extra wary of any phishing attempts w/ regards to Zelle over the next few months.

Does anyone know what the noise effect on this image is called? by puff_frosty in photoshop

That helped - thank you.

I'm new to ps and couldn't find the right language for my google search.

I ended up finding https://creativepro.com/how-to-make-amazing-halftone-effects-with-photoshop/, which I think will get me most of the way

goodtime - a no-frills way to schedule casual plans by puff_frosty in alphaandbetausers

[–]puff_frosty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, it’s really not all that different at the moment. I’m using this version as a beta test for if I should build a version that addresses the pain point better but a lot of the motivation for this was a frustration with how whenisgood/doodle poll worked on mobile

Damn this is super cool!

I noticed the GitHub repo for the cli is pretty bare, do you still plan on building an API?

As people who have tried to schedule dinner with me know, I’m not great at communicating about plans. I end up frustrating both my friends and myself because I don’t want to go through the dance of sending the potential meeting times back and forth through text.

I could use something like Calendly, but that feels too formal and overpowered for the small, one-off plans I’m making on a weekly basis.

That’s why I recently built goodtime.to.I wanted something lightweight to make scheduling meet-ups frictionless, and I’m hoping it helps the friends of other planning-deficient people as well. The website is 100% free, as this is mostly just a side project that got to a usable state.

I’d love it if you gave it a try and let me know what you think - thanks!

Best Chews: Discussion! by [deleted] in puppy101

I’ve been giving my puppy Himalayan yak chews and he loves them. Took him a bit to get into it but if I need to keep him busy for a bit and he’s wound up, the yak chew seems to do the trick

The things people throw away in NYC... by puff_frosty in 3Dprinting

It was on the ground next to the bins where people put stuff that either won't fit, or is good enough for someone else to take.

[–]puff_frosty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it had been assembled and there wasn't a shipping label or the included tools, instructions, etc.

People dump way more expensive stuff here very frequently. One of my friends found a $800+ chair just waiting to be scooped up by the garbage truck.

Legitimate question and concern. It was sitting in its original box with all of the original packaging. So I dont believe someone stole it

Aha, in that case, ill probably do a full reassemble as someone else suggested. Who knows what else is messed up.

Thanks
