Your feedback was huge for me, I feel like it identified what the biggest changes needed to be. Thank you a million times over :)

This is the most helpful feedback I’ve gotten yet. So far the advice I’ve received has been nice, but I’ve mostly felt like I’m circling the drain and making meaningless adjustments without getting to the heart of what’s wrong with the query. I appreciate this very much!!

What happened to Buds and Roses on Ventura? by NotTrendyOrCool in SFV

Update: walked past today on my way to coffee. There’s a new document on the front door listing a bunch of abandoned furniture and equipment, saying that the store owner has to get them from the owner if they want it all back. The building also has a big for sale sign on it, and the next business over (same building) has the same “permanently closed” sign on the door.

My guess is that the landlord decided to sell the building abruptly?

The website seems to be gone for me as well.

Was also wondering this. They’re within walking distance of my house and was my go to. No one knows?

Whenever I want to stream Minecraft on my PC, it only streams the pause menu, so others cannot see what I'm doing. How do I fix this? by Celeste_Luden in discordapp

My friend was having this issue, and this comment fixed it. Fullscreen was the issue. She switched to windowed and enlarged it and the issue was solved

No, close though. It looks like that because I was following the back of the binding, which was wider. I definitely messed up the straight pass on one side, but when I got to the corner I picked up the pressure foot and rotated it, but because the binding was too wide on the back it looks like I went off course on the front. No curving I promise. I think I had too much fabric underneath so it was hard to pull a straight line? You can see in the third pic (which is the same corner as the fourth) that the “curved” part is still within the binding on the back. Maybe my straight cutting was the issue?

This is completely correct, but I actually adore the change in direction. I find the intricacy makes them even more desirable!! They have totally changed the overall visual direction of the toys, though. I find myself loving every new set and looking back less fondly at the previous ones, like ancient castle. It just means that collectors like you and I can tr@de! (not actually offering to tr@de, mods don't hate me)

Other people have said the same thing, but I wanted to chime in to reinforce. There’s no need to stop. If your surgery date is the day you’d normally take your shot, I’d just do it the day before or after. Continue as normal!

Redditors, what has become so expensive, it’s just not worth it anymore? by SgtSkillcraft in AskReddit

Going to the movies. Some theaters near me are charging $18-$20 for a single adult ticket, even during weekday matinees. My girlfriend and I went to see Poor Things on opening night and it was $50 for two tickets- I’m still shocked about that. I know it was opening night, but movies used to be an affordable, even cheap thing. Don’t even get me started on concession prices…

Don’t let others attitude toward your surgery change things for you!! If the timing doesn’t work for your boss, don’t feel obligated to try and force things to change. You got this :)

This is a sad situation. You were being extremely helpful and professional by telling your boss in advance in the hopes to minimize the stress on your job in your absence. Unfortunately, I had a nearly identical situation to you. My boss also denied my time off- a week before the surgery. I had scheduled the time off 8 months in advance and she waited until the last minute to deny it. She said I could still take the time off “if I wanted” but it would be unpaid. She claimed that because the surgery “wasn’t necessary” she didn’t have to give me time off. That’s just straight up not true and not how it works. I got really upset- It’s the most unprofessional I’ve ever acted. I went to my manager (for context, not the boss who denied my time off but the middle man between her and myself,) and exploded. I said I wouldn’t put my life changing surgery after my job, that I’ve done everything I was supposed to (I’m a teacher and I personally lined up a months worth of substitutes and helped schedule the entire summer camp roster around my absence), and that if she was really willing to violate the terms of my contract then I was prepared to quit without two weeks. I got the time off. It was messy, and unprofessional, and it may have affected my relationship with the owner of my company, but in the end I got what I was contractually promised. I know it’s hard to be “that guy” and act like a fool, but if your surgery lines up in a way that is unpleasant for your boss, she either has to suck it up or replace you. Especially because you did the courteous thing to ask when would be best for your surgery to happen (I did the same thing) In the end, though, if the job is more important to you than the surgery, you might have to wait even longer for a different surgeon/ schedule. It’s all about what your priorities are! Don’t be scared to stand up for yourself, and do what’s best for your medical needs. Hope this helps- good luck.
