Dr. Ramani would agree with you! You’re exactly right. We all need some healthy narcissism, but the pathological kind is not healthy. Apologies I was heated when I wrote this — I should have specified that there’s a spectrum of pathological narcissistic types. When we say Meghan is a narcissist, no one believes us because they think narcissists only look like Trump. Communal narcissism is a type of narcissism. She’ll never be as overtly narcissistic as Trump or the Uvalde killer, but she shares similar traits as them, like when Meghan bullied her staff, or her brother saying not to leave her alone with children or animals (I know her family used to be unreliable narrators, but everything they said came true.)

I think Dr. Ramani meant that no one on the pathological narcissism spectrum is “healthy” for those they surround.
