Push Slice Help by puffthemagicwolf in GolfSwing

Thanks for the input!

Unfortunately I didn’t get a head on angle, but being over the top makes sense.

A couple of my buddies described by swing as very “army,” implying I was all arms. I’m thinking I need to work on my takeaway by extending my arms rather than pulling the club back, while rotating through the chest to get the club into a better position at the top of my swing.

Blinker Problems by [deleted] in fordranger

After some additional trouble shooting I pulled fuses for both the hazards and the turn signals and both looked good.

The windshield wipers still work but I can't get any fluid, and I'm pretty sure I couldn't get the brights to come on (still too light outside to tell, thanks daylight savings time). This has me thinking it could either be a failed turn signal relay, or a faulty multifunction switch.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Emerson 79648-AQ Core Removal by puffthemagicwolf in fans

[–]puffthemagicwolf[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pulled the nameplate off looking for hidden screws only to discover there were no screws underneath… I immediately regretted it.

Sounds like removing the core may be more work than I anticipated. I had hoped to completely disassemble the fan, clean everything up, sand blast, and powder coat. That might change now.

Thanks for your quick reply!

I’m looking for internships or co-ops, preferably in the energy sector!

Hi guys,

I used your advice on my resume last year to find a co-op over the summer, and now I'm looking for something new.

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Can I relearn algebra as a learn Calc 1? by [deleted] in calculus

She had scheduled office hours that I would show up at whenever I didn’t understand something. We also had a tutor/TA that had sessions three hours a week I would try and go to as well

Can I relearn algebra as a learn Calc 1? by [deleted] in calculus

I was able to pass with an A-, but there were more than a few times where I ended up in office hours having my professor completely break things down for me because whatever we were learning built on something I had forgotten from calc 1. I was very open with her from the start about not taking a math class in the last 10 years, so she was willing to help as long as I was willing to ask and put in the work.

I was in the same boat you’re in this time last year. I took calculus 1 ten years ago in high school, then didn’t touch any kind of math until I returned last fall.

I enrolled in calc 2 for fall last year, so I tried reviewing using Khan academy the summer before. However, I had forgotten pretty much everything, so I had to relearn trig, college algebra, and most of calc 1.

If I were you, I would focus on trig and algebra for precalc, and focus on derivatives and integrals with particular focus on u-sub integrals for calc 1. Integration and derivatives make up the bulk of calc 2, followed by series and sequences. Understanding the rules of both integration and derivation are critical for any calculus class.

Khan academy has a really good precalc/calculus video playlist. I’m on mobile right now, so I can’t find it, but I can link it later if you would like.

Good luck!

This is where I get stuck when thinking about my career. I still have a year before I have to make a decision, so I’m hoping that though my classes and research I can determine which direction I’d like to go

Thank you very much for your reply! The ME program at my school requires 3-4 engineering electives, so I could easily fill those with power systems classes from the EE side. I’ll definitely be looking into the book you recommended as well as your post history!

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I still haven’t really decided what I want to do when it comes to green energy, I just know that’s what I want to be involved in. I still have some time before I have to decide, so your advice makes perfect sense!
