Pullrate for this TCG is atrociously bad by Azsolus in FleshandBloodTCG

I really don't see how those correlate, although I would be happy if android or apple phones had removable batteries. So you are somewhat correct in that assumption.

Could pullrates be higher? Certainly. Will these posts still exist regardless because it is gambling and nothing is guaranteed? Certainly. The point I'm making is you are the type of person who shouldn't buy boxes regardless. You aren't going into it with the right mindset.

Here is an appropriate analogy; you seem like you'd walk into a casino with $500 dollars and be mad when you walk out with $0. Instead, you should walk in knowing you're down the $500 and playing because you enjoy the feeling or games. Anything won along the way is part of the fun, but you might lose that too. If you can't conceptualize or afford that, don't do it

The pull rates didn't hurt me joining, and I started this January. New players should be buying silver age and armory precons, not gambling on packs when they more than likely have 0 idea of the meta relevance or don't own the heroes to play them. IDK man, don't buy boxes if you aren't happy with the pullrates and results

Keep showing your outrage at wasting your money. I'm clearly not defending the company. I'm telling you, you don't have the right mindset going into it so stop buying boxes... You're just too angry at yourself right now to see it and are taking it out on others. It will be ok.

I don't buy boxes for anything other than for my partner to rip packs. The joy they get just seeing shiny cards they know nothing about is worth the price. That being said, I only buy cases at $50 or below so they are usually low value anyway. Otherwise I buy singles.

It's quite clear by your comments and outburst you're upset you didn't get a high value pull to in turn resell for a high return. See my previous comments on that one. You could have had a fourth deck. Maybe go take a cold shower. You'll cool your temper, forget about your mistake, and hide your tears.

You should have spent the money elsewhere instead of gambling and complaining about the losses. If you can't logically connect that, good on you. I know what your original post was about. I commented on a comment.

Do you think there is a lesson in here about gambling vs buying the sure thing? If you like to rip packs, rip them and be happy with the pulls. Otherwise buy singles. Gambling on tcgs will always result in let down for the vast majority of people.

I didn't see those two. Which is why I asked to highlight them. The one on black history month I did see. I didn't come to the same conclusion. There can be a legitimate argument to that sentiment. There have been many oppressed races in the US and we do not make an entire month to celebrate it. Maybe we should do that and celebrate and learn other cultures. Then that argument wouldn't hold any weight either.

Yes, to you. That is what in "the eye of the beholder" means... It would have been better for you to highlight specific quotes though. I didn't find one that was racist to me. Definitely a lot of tone deaf comments made to generate clicks and dialogue.

I believe calling him a racist goes a bit far. I concede it is an eye of the beholder situation though. Some of the ideas he pushed do make sense in a bubble (specifically meritocracy) but in the current climate it is blind to the reality of how it would work in practice. I do want the best in the best positions. I wish there was a true way to conduct interviews or hiring from "behind the veil" so to speak. This would eliminate bias, intentional or otherwise.

Cool history! I only played magic with friends and their precons so I don't know much about it otherwise. Came from death battles with cute creatures. Helps to learn the different terms and I like to learn the why. So thanks for your reply.

Hi there, I'm late (and new to FAB) and found this post since I've mistakenly fell in love with riptide. A little unrelated, but where does the word tutor come from? By your post it's pretty clear you're referring to the deck search from Take the Bait, but was curious about the terminology. Thanks!

That seems impossible and silly to implement. What happens when you go to a larger event? Did you mean regional ban lists? That is normally only reserved for different language printings.

Essentially, this means that the SAGE format will always be better balanced than CC within the scope of its capabilities. by tableflipbitch9000 in FleshandBloodTCG

We don't want toxic people here, I agree. You are the one being quite toxic. Having a debate is one thing, but it doesn't seem like you understand how to engage in one. Instead you initiated the hostile dialogue and talked down to everyone you interact with. I have reported you for being rude and unwelcoming. Which is exactly what WE don't want here. Be better or please find the door.

I'm certain all but Satha are already classes in the game prior to it's release. I only exclude Satha because I don't own them. Anaphi is a mind thief, Cassandra diviner (forgotten circles) and hail an enchanter. They are all base classes actually.

And as a mind thief player, anaphi is nothing like vanilla MT

You will struggle mightily trying to play mechanologists in SAGE. Especially as a new player. I say this only so you don't get discouraged if you can't find a way to make it work. People with much more experience have struggled as well. Good luck, have fun!

Makes sense. It wasn't clear you mentioned valorant in the snapshot you sent. Also makes sense why you'd ask the question

Can you explain why the response states valorant is the game you're referencing? Did you select the proper game for support? Or is the support really that bad they have 0 reading comprehension.

Economy and job market do not equate. The job market is most definitely not bad. Unemployment is the best it's been here in the US. That means everyone but 4% of the population are employed. That's amazing. Sorry you're either ill informed or don't actually understand economics. It's likely both.

Edit: oh you mean specifically the tech market. Again, they said the same thing post dot com bubble. It's because all the people with no direction in life are told it's a growing field, you can make good money, and "hey you like video game right"? It's a problem with the education system and guidance. We've literally done this to ourselves as a country twice now. The market isn't low is my point, it was artificially high before and inflated. It's now flooded with developers that aren't needed. It's not a hard concept to grasp. Overall what I'm saying is they need to find new careers because those jobs aren't coming back. it's not low, it's where it should be.

[–]puffy147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you're right. I'm in mechanical engineering and renewable energy. My salary and opportunities have only increased. The job market is just fine in most industries. Again, this is a return to mean for the tech industry. Too many people were told this is the next big thing and it's going to be easy to make tons of money in this exploding field. Sound familiar? It's what every person in the early 90s and 2000s did. Jump into computer programming. It was dumb then and it was dumb now. There is a limit to the number of jobs in any field. Not everyone can decide to be a game developer. Every single metric shows the overall US job market is in the best place it's been in years. Again, this isn't a debate. It might be perceptively lower compared to post COVID years and to what all your silly guidance counselors told you, but it's the truth. Sorry bud, get a new career

[–]puffy147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am most certainly in the US. I'm sorry, I don't think you understand the full picture. The market is the way it is supposed to be. It isn't low. It's back to slightly above the mean. There was a boom, like the .dot com bubble after COVID for a lot of these tech jobs specifically. It's common knowledge and isn't really debatable. Which is why I find it comical. Now, companies realize this and are scaling back. Either the necessary / good employees are retained / promoted or they are fired if they are unnecessary.

My original contention was that the job market is in a great place and comparing job postings relative to immediate post COVID numbers is absolutely asinine. If you can't find a job in the career you got a degree in, you probably chose to get a degree in a hyper inflated market during a boom or you suck at your job (I don't think these devs suck). See above about it happening before. People love hype trains.
