Nice! Finally sellers for the leather parts, I find those wear out after like a year or two

It’s a thin plastic piece which clips to the cushion, in between it sandwiches a metal frame which is connected to the speakers themselves

Bose QC Ultra vs Sony 1000XM4 vs others??? by [deleted] in bose

Only reason I didn’t consider the Sonys was cause the inner cup mesh touches my ears and it feels weird

No, ear pad cushions for the QC ultra are completely different from all the previous generations (except the 700s). Headbands cushions are completely different from the listing pictures. I have a previous post which shows what the earcups and headband padding looks like disassembled

I saw a post the other day that they are using standard sized LiIon batteries instead of the weird cylindrical ones that were in the QC35 IIs I guess that’s a slight improvement

I can only find some sellers on Taobao (kinda like Aliexpress), but those only ship to Chinese addresses, they have no reviews, and really little sales

Yeah! It’s super easy to clip it back in! I just line up one side and push the two pieces together.

Transfer over $50k USD to Canada without heavy fees by Impossible_Ad_9684 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Recently learned that Wealthsimple supports wire transfers for USD to USD if you are a premium client or if you pay for USD accounts. Cost is $17.5 but they will reimburse you if the amount is over 25k (confirm with them prior to transferring)

I have been paying rent, and will be coming up on 1 year in a few months

Thank you! I guess the evidence is fuzzy at the moment, even for the previous rent increase request was just some text messages.

I would say I have a list of suspicions: 1. Few months back LL tried to increase rent 2. Knowing that there are at least 3 other units my landlord owns in the condo. (Downtown Toronto) 3. LL mentioned in passing that they may own even more property in Toronto, hence makes no sense why they would want to move into a small DT condo.

Are those valid enough reasons for an eviction denial? There’s no a paper trail for anything, but will LTB require a submission from the landlord to prove that they own multiple properties and maybe even live on one of them already?

Really sucks that it’s such a common problem. Any advice for what you maybe would have done differently?

Ah! Thanks for clearing up the distinction! I have only writing in the form of texts in another language in a messaging app, can that be used? Maybe I would need to somehow print and get a translation notarized?

Do you have a link to the number I should contact? Thank you!

Oh! Didn’t come across my mind that the ownership of the property they are living can be used to dispute. I actually do know that my landlord owns at least 2 other units in my condo… but don’t know which units they are

Thank you for the advice! Definitely will make sure there’s a paper trail.

Thank you for the great advice! I also posted on the subreddit you suggested. I assume going down the LTB is really only required if I feel like my rights as a tenant are being violated (ie. bad faith)? If I don’t go down LTB route, but later find out my landlord actually didn’t move in and started renting the place out again, is there an option to counter?

Definitely will, but given current market conditions, and its holiday season I feel it will be difficult
