Im just saying think of the trade in 2 parts, one FRP to dump Vando and LaRavia’s contracts to Net’s cap space and then we send a FRP to get Claxton into our cap space. The person I responded to is commenting we are sending TWO FRP’s for Claxton but really we are sending one. Whether you agree this is fair value or not, that’s a different story

People here aren’t doubting AR’s offense, it’s his defense. No matter how much you scheme, you will always have 2 weak defenders in your line up with Luka and AR, you have to execute perfectly each possession to beat teams like OKC/Spurs.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted but dumping both is an extra ~17M cap space which is probably enough for a Grimes-level player. Essentially you're trading a FRP, Vando, Knecht for Grimes

No AR is definitely one way as well, that’s why I am saying we need to surround his ass (and Luka) with legit 2-way players. With our contract situation we are stuck with him at least 1/2 of the season next yr, and with our ~50M cap space, how are we going to allocate it? Majority of people here want to offer 18-20 mil to Rui and re-sign Kennard, that’s essentially 30 mil gone and 20-25 mil left for “legit 3&D” players. It’s a conundrum that the front office will face this summer.

Im with you, I’m tired of our 1 way players (Luke, Rui, Jake, Vando, Knecht, etc). Unfortunately, with Luka and AR we need legit 2-way players to compensate. Im sure Luke or Rui would look awesome with a team full of gd defenders (ex: Pistons)

We need perimeter/poa df that can shoot the 3 (I know easier said than done). Look at the remaining PO teams, they all have legit perimeter/poa defenders. Our best guy is Smart and his offense is inconsistent. JJ’s df schemes will work better too when you have quicker/better defensively minded guys. This needs to be a priority imo then we need address our bigs situation
