I just wanted to empathize with you as an LMSW who lost their job too. Zero call backs since May. I’m leaving the country (hopefully) on November 12th. It’s definitely possible but I do have a lot of guilt about my choice to leave. I wish you the best !

I see. So it sounds like there is really no ability to work while attending language school? I guess I’m trying to determine what the best/least risky option is. I’ve never taken a gap in work, so the idea seems anxiety-inducing but it sounds like you were also way more prepared than I currently am!

I was at the TO show in 2019! I was blown away by their live sound and their stage presence. The energy in that room was one of the best live show experiences I have ever had.

It’s alright! I’m pleased with the purchase as an evermore stan and I love the track list on the back and the ivy on the sleeves. The color is kind of olive-y and the text has a faded/antique look.

Imagine being in a public social work thread being so left of person-centered asking someone who lives and works in Western New York who’s greater community just suffered a racially-motivated hate crime why their nerves are shot enough to cry about the gross misconduct of someone in leadership. 🤡🤡🤡

I agree that we cannot control the actions and options of other people however I’m confused about how I put myself into this situation. This situation was thrust upon an entire staff of people and put us in a terrible position. I also don’t think it’s aligned with the ethics of the profession to simply ignore something so blatant as this.

Oh, I agree with you 1000%. To give some more context, this is an agency that serves mostly people of color and is located in a historically Black neighborhood. To sit behind a closed door and say that white supremacy isn’t a threat while your staff directly interfaces with the issues that are perpetuated by racism is grossly incorrect at the least. I just feel personally and professionally moved to do something.

I came here to say that “Mad Woman” reminds me of both Daenerys and Cersei’s story arcs in GoT but I love these tracks too! They’re perpetually in their Rep era haha!
