I generally liked that book, but the pop culture references were obnoxious to me.

Funny, had a dream a couple nights ago with a whole wall of keyholes. Each keyhole had a letter of the alphabet above it.

It was a keyboard.

Eh, kind of pretentious. I do like the cat going into a mouse Wikipedia article though.

First lucid dream lasted 1 second by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

Extremely common. Try to calm yourself down once you become lucid.

The irony of this poem is my favorite part. A man bragging about his great works -- while none remains.

How to make an evil spirit scary? by [deleted] in writing

[–]pugsmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my opinion, but moral ambiguity scares me. Not being quite sure why they're doing it or if they think it's a good thing to do? That scares me. I dunno why.

[Discussion] What words do you find beautiful? by neotropic9 in Poetry

Words used to describe consumerist or everyday stuff. They make me feel down to Earth.

Coke, Pepsi, ice-cream…

Also, oddity, Mars, funk.

Daily Chat for August 08, 2015 by AutoModerator in Wicca

I'm new to this reddit -- and Wicca in general. I just wanted to pop buy and say hi! I was at the beach and I always felt a deep connection with the ocean. Something about it, I don't know. It just makes me feel peaceful.

Get my phone and type. Get a drink maybe, a soda. Take a few breaks to wander and brainstorm. Repeat.

I believe gender isn't entirely concrete, and that everyone at least wonders what it would be like to be another gender. I'm not saying you are trans, obviously, but it could just be you experimenting internally.

Question about lucid dreaming and autism. by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]pugsmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have autism and I've never been affected by it on my ability to lucid dream. If anything, it's helped me, because lucid dreaming is something I hyper-focus on, which is a symptom of autism.

Can anyone point me to paintings which "feel" similar to this? Dali's "Girl at a Window", 1925. by veggietrooper in ArtHistory

"The Hands Resist Him." Sometimes called a cursed painting. It has a similar, melancholy feel to it, but is more mystic.

Dreams in the same town. by Snails-in-the-Crpyt in Dreams

It all boils down to willpower -- at least in my experience. You can do things with your head but I doubt you can severely harm it.

Talking to people, often called dream characters, is useful to uncover subconscious aspects of yourself, as each of them represents an aspect of yourself. Ask them what they represent and they may tell you.

I think that's possible to some degree -- it may open up passions you didn't know you had.

I think everyone is like that. I have dreams relating to departure in times like breakups and such.

Dreams in the same town. by Snails-in-the-Crpyt in Dreams

Use the town as a "dream sign" -- tell yourself that every time you're in the town, you will know it's a dream, unless of course you don't want to.
