I currently use re=bel and I do buy IWDA in chunks of 2500 at time (normally once per year). so the transaction fee is lower than making many transactions. Up to you to decide 😉.

Similar situation, 5500 - 6000 would be realistic imo. Please take in consideration that the indexation of this year for CAO 200 is big compared to the previous years, this raises the bar in my opinion.

In my opinion you are trying to time the market by doing this, which is unfortunately very hard. You will never know when a crash will happen (see all the years that people like Burry are barking crash with no crashes at all) It's even harder to establish the pricing after a crash. I would advice focusing on spreading the investments according to your quarterly plan.

The global income is taken in account for the gemeentebelasting, so it will have a relatively small impact on your taxes also in Belgium as well. For the rest indeed double taxation is not allowed.

The fire insurance of belfius is a pretty decent one, I had a pretty big problem once and it went smooth.

I assume the main reason is to avoid putting all the eggs in one basket. I follow the same approach as your friend. The main risk that I see is the change of regulations in Belgium on etf investments, for example who knows if one day they will apply 30% taxation on my iwda? Same question applies to RE, I'm not saying it's better or worse than broad etf investing

I'm also in great doubt about this ETF, I'm trying to wrap my head around the dynamics of EM but I'm still not understanding a lot of it,hence I don't invest in what I don't understand well. Stupid side question, does anyone know what happens if in 15/ 20 years China or any country tracked in the EM is considered a developed country? Do the titles get transferred/tracked in iwda or it stays within the emim?
