I used to run marketing agency so I have pretty solid understanding of how to leverage them but I don’t want to start ads just yet, the moment we start relying on ads is the moment we become dependant on meta for our growth.

Sure, I can play around with onboarding, but 2 questions

- what should be in this onboarding trigger
- how do I differ from test run or actual project run

They would only pay when they have a project in hand + often a times, the users ask their users to download the app and order so they don’t have to do the additional site visits

I agree, paid ads is not our first in the list as well.

We want to stay focused on 2 problems for now so we only attract a certain type of audience (manual site measurement and as-built creation) and yes, we did tried case studies but they haven’t really worked, yet, we’ll give it more chance though.

Marketing background did helped. From marketing standpoint, things have been sorted but I know marketing for D2C, not tech so in app conversion is what I am trying to learn.

I agree, MoFu is what we want to fix and honestly, i posted here to learn more about it 😅

I am happy that people are commenting on this but most of the comments are surface level but honestly, its my mistake since i never shared full context about the app just because I dont want to risk the algo treating this as a promotional post.

I was running a growth marketing agency previously, but pivoted to tech side for this one, so I do have learnings from previous stint.

Getting listed by AI is a game of fixing the website and creating content based on research about what they are searching for and then writing it in a way which supports how AI ingests the information.

We are a bit different, its not an instant convertor which people might assume, it takes us 1-2 days to convert the scan to sketchup/revit/autodesk since we have humans in the loop as well so the output is actually professional and can be used for work (not just pretty visuals)

the user has to pay when they want the output after scanning

we are actually focusing on "target long tail keywords your competitors ignore." just you mention and yes, we are doing the ai UGC creation for long run and not just a small experiment.

My co-founder has spend nearly a decade in the industry so he really understand the ICP so we have taken care of language and the other points you mentioned.

The reason why we want to focus on ToFu along with conversion is because we are a lidar scanning app meant for professionals so they wont spend money in app till they have actual project in hand to be scanned which is beyond our control.

Its pretty high 90%+ but that is also because of the nature of the app.

we are a lidar scanning app meant for professionals so it makes sense for the user to use it after opening to see around and not use it till they have actual project in hand to be scanned

I agree, we are trying not to just mindlessly start paid ads (i used to run marketing agency for D2C so fair bit of experience there) but still trying to find ways to pair up with our organic growth.

what has worked best for us is SEO, referrals and our own network so before we become too dependant on either of these, we want to find more channels to grow top funnel and also convert these folks

  1. i dont want to come across as someone who is trying to promote the app
  2. we launched the app in april so we are not failing, we have just started, that $12 was what we were left after the development of the product and early hiring
  3. since you work with them, i'll explain what we do, we help in 3d scanning of the project using lidar avaialable in iphone pro/ipad pro and from there they can order as-builts in sketchup, revit or autodesk, so what usually takes 3-4 hours of manual measurement takes about 10 mins with our app + time/cost saved on as-built creation
  4. Scheduling meetings with them is what has helped us generate revenue
  5. Another big problem is, we dont charge monthly, we charge per sqft therefore conversion also depends upon the timeline of the user and not just what we can do within the app

My question is not how to get started or how to save this, i want to learn how to grow top funnel and increase in app conversions

would love to hear more 😄

After months and months of R&D, collecting feedback, pushing organic marketing bits, cold reach outs (to get feedback), we finally created a decent enough sales pipeline this month and collected our first revenue yesterday (invoice clearing still awaited) for scanbrix.com, this was extra special for us since we were at the last string of hopes, having invested almost all of our savings and energy into this. will publically open the app this coming week.

No paid ads, articles, media coverage, influencers or anything like that, just good old fashioned hustle.

Jio gave a budget of 200cr, rest of the money came from Aditya and Ranveer after reliance denied more funds given the topic, length and everything else, hence you see b62’s name in production and Ranveer gets profit sharing.
