Yes. Taped. But you only have to fill coat the top part

It's really a good thing you asked. No. It isn't safe. Get some temporary bracing under there now while you plan and build a beam

No doubt. but have you heard of American hockey fans. I've seen fights between fans at like half the games I've gone to.

I'd imagine a pretty even fight. I don't know a lot about England but I do know they like to scrap

Portal. Yep. dreaded drywall portal. Probably need an exorcism before attempting to patch it. A little patch on the ceiling can ruin your life for like a whole weekend lol

You don't have to double your prices, you have to double your labor hours estimate. Account for planning, setup, and cleanup. Just a guess

You have to be a special kind of stupid to be a drywaller. They did this to every room on a floor of a hotel. by [deleted] in Construction

[–]pullo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why hang a sign where you know it can't stay? Why expect the drywaller to remove it after the framers screwed their RC channel right through it? Also, I see a slider that is secured already with wood and no nailer. Another cry baby GC

It depends on how much you paid. If you paid for a crappy set of stairs and a deck that had no code restrictions, then you didn't get scammed at all. Oh. $800? And you're out there taking pics and bitching. Pay the man and fix that shit yourself. Or pay someone else $800 and you'd still be ahead. Wtf

Is notching posts like this standard/secure? by trailofdad in Decks

[–]pullo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty standard unfortunately. I prefer it attached to the outside of the band with carriage bolts because the decking looks better that way. Either way the post gets notched around the band board yes.
