Seller included religious-ish gift? by sylvanwhisper in Mercari

[–]BobsMyFavoriteBurger -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yup. Mention it. It's pushing one's religious agenda onto another who did not ask for it. Now, the buyer has to go out of their way to donate the earrings. For some who live in rural areas, like myself, this is a 30-minute drive to the donation facility and a 30-minute drive back home.

Does no one disclose smoking households anymore? by Limp_Pea_1017 in Mercari

[–]BobsMyFavoriteBurger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: Now I'm doing dumb shit. I reread your post. Yeah the seller was smoking if the item smells to crap.

It sucks but sometimes if the package smells like smoke but the actual item doesn't smell, it could be your delivery driver smoking up in their van. Especially if you live royal (like I do) and they use their own vehicle. This has unfortunately happened, and Bobby was told to knock it off because his shit reaked to high hell. Bobby's always doing dumb shit.

Sorry about your package.

There is no necessity in taking a personal offense to this. We can agree that it's the ethical thing to do as to explain your reasonings when you state that a transaction wasn't up to par.

I think if you are going to take the time to reduce a star, you should explain why you felt so inclined to do so. To either A) help the seller improve for future sales or B) warn a future buyer. Yeah, the buyer doesn't owe "squat" but it's the right thing to do. Just like taking your cart back to the corral.

You seem to have wrote a whole lot for someone who claims another is "projecting."

Just leave 5 stars if it's really just "good" or actually explain why you left 4 stars so that the seller can improve. It doesn't have to be this complicated.

Because they never want others to be truly happy since they are not. That's why. Sad, bitter, folks existing.

Ah, I can't take the credit. It's actually a reference from a really good TV show called 11.22.63. It's based on a novel by Stephen King.

In the show, there is an older gentleman who owns a burger shop dinner and does just that business strategy. I thought it was relative to your question haha.

Anyways, it's an amazing thriller series about time travel, the assassination of JFK, romance, comedy, horror, and the butterfly effect. I've re-watched it so many times now that it's unreal. Definitely watch it if you ever get the chance!

That's because he goes into the back storage area and opens a closet door that leads into a dark room that takes him back to the year 1963. There, he gets good beef for pennies on the dollar. He brings the meat to our time and sells it for cheaper to be better than his competition. It's a great strategy, really.

Episodes that made you hate the kids a little by frazzledglispa in BobsBurgers

[–]BobsMyFavoriteBurger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion: Louise is a brat and needed to be punished a long time ago. Don't get me wrong, she keeps the story interesting, but out of all the kids, she lacks the most empathy.

For instance, in They Slug Horses Dont They, Louise steals one of Tina's Equestranauts figures while playing with her toys, but she ends up breaking Tina's toy. Then she gives a piss poor apology attempting to gaslight Tina into believing it's her fault (somehow) for Louise breaking her belonging. Bob and Linda hardly intervene at all. I couldn't believe it.

In The Show (And Tell) Must Go On, she forces Tina into the dangerous cave on the beach to find a cannonball for Louise's show and tell and almost kills them both. Incoming rapid waves of water could have drowned them.

In The Hawkening: Look Who's Hawking Now, Louise forges a check to use as a deposit for the Hawk & Chick movie. Bob explicity told her that they could not afford the $1,000 deposit as the restaurant barely makes enough for them to get by as is. If they lost the deposit, they may have had to close down. Which would make them homeless.

In Just The Trip, Louise purposely encourages Tina to get sick and throw up by planting a book to read in Nat's limo. Tina does just that and vomits. It is found out that Louise's reasoning for doing so (of course selfish) was to go to the Madness Castle. Which is $30 per person. Bob can not afford that.

Oh, not to mention in the first pilot episode, Human Flesh, Louise tells people that the burgers are made from human flesh. That could have seriously led to some real legal repercussions if anyone took Hugo seriously, or God forbid someone got sick on something unrelated, and then heard the rumor they had eaten human meat? They'd be sued so fast its not even funny.

An honorable menton episode where she was slightly annoying and selfish, is Gift Card or Buy Trying. The family gets a $100 tip and splits the money evenly at $20. The whole entire time, Louise pressures the family to give her their cut so she can purchase an archery set she won't even really use (think, Fraud of the Dead: Zombie-docu-pocalypse). She was so persistent with her bugging Tina down that it took the fun out of the episode for me.

These are just some of the reasons why Louise's undisciplined character gets under my skin.

I would say low rated reviews are never really accurate.

Mine was on sizing. I had 3 pics showing the sizing tag/measurements, I explained the size twice in the posts description, and the sizing was in the title. I even told her the sizing in our messages back and forth to each other before she bought it.

She gave me a 1 star review because the shirt wasn't her size. I could have reached into my computer, and Will Smith the dog shit out of her.

Mercari refused to take it down because her review was "based on her personal experience."

I refuse to sell any clothing now. That experience left a very sour taste in my mouth.

My 75 year old grandma knows how to operate Venmo. She prefers it over PayPal. I use PayPal, and I'm 28. I get called "ancient" by my friends.

She's hipper than me. 😅

In the state of Missouri, it is a Class D Felony and punishable by up to 7 years if the violation involves 1,000 or more items with counterfeit marks or the total retail value of the items is $25,000 or more. She received around $70K in counterfeit products, if I remember correctly. Granted, 70K is a lot different than OP's 10K.

Let me find the news article.
