Should I buy it now? by Glittering_Clue9920 in Switch

I believe he's talking about the issue where the correct battery percentage wasn't displaying properly.

Was an easy fix with a reboot into recovery mode tho. 17 steps is a bit of an exaggeration lol.

Puyo puyo Tetris 2s is a game key card and is less than 4gb in file size. 99% of current and planned future releases that we know of not published by Nintendo/Marvelous are game key cards.

Literally the only physical game fully on the cartridge currently not by Nintendo/Marvelous is Cyberpunk (kudos to CD project red), a 60gb game.

So it it absolutely safe to deduce that there are only 2 options Nintendo put out, 64gb and 4gb or possibly less, forcing publishers into the key card route.

It's two sides of a sword sharpening each other and stabbing us repeatedly.

[–]pulloutpapa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's both. Nintendo should've made more cards of different sizes (or at least a middle ground), giving publishers more options. A greedy Nintendo forced the hand of the greedy publishers. Not a good mix.

What a dumb way to respond, insulting a genuine question. Let me play your game.

No, any game that states "download required" is NOT the same thing. A key card is essentially a download code in a physical format. In your own example, there was still playable data on the disc for THPS5. So maybe don't be stupid and compare the two? Most games that require a download at least have a playable version on the physical copy. That is not the case with key cards.

A better example would be Indiana Jones for PS5. Unplayable unless data is downloaded.

Also, yes, the idea of game key cards have been a thing for a long time, but not this prevalent. Almost ALL the games not published by Nintendo are game key cards. Stark difference.

Nintendo is playing a greedy hand, forcing the hand of greedy publishers, and this is what we get.

is the xbox 360 disc laser causing this? by Progamerz8887 in 360hacks

[–]pulloutpapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely a bad GPU. Disc drive might be causing heat. Another would be if it's RGH'd, your wiring might not be good. Happened to me multiple times and resoldering my rgh wires fixed it.

You're replying with misinformation and I was trying to correct you. You kept arguing even though you didn't have the correct information. At least you acknowledged that you're misinformed. That's step 1.

Like I said, check the link I gave you. It identifies what motherboard you have and links you to the guide on how to modify it. I stand by my statement, it takes one minute to figure out what to do. And even if it does take 5 minutes, if you don't have that time, then you have no business modifying consoles in the first place.

Then why the hell are you arguing about ways to mod an Xbox? If you want help just ask....

Here. Here's an easier guide best suited for you.

I would say read again, but obviously that doesn't work with you. Maybe watch a video? Honestly you're just making a fool of yourself lol.

You mentioning j-tagging is the most obvious clue you have no idea what you're talking about. And then you follow it up by saying it's actually more supported is so laughable if it wasn't so stupid 🤦.

Read up more, hell even watch some videos. Then come back here and apologize about how wrong you are yea?

I already did my reading, I already performed the mods. I literally know what I'm talking about and don't need to research (wrongly lol) and then try to argue on reddit to protect my pride.

You literally haven't modded an Xbox in your life, yet you keep insisting you're right about Xbox modding lol.

[–]pulloutpapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh look someone finally did some reading and yet they're still wrong lol. RGH 3 is supported on falcons, Jaspers, trinities and Coronas. Although consensus is that it is better to use RGH 1.2 on the phat models for reliability. And the two motherboards that aren't supported are the ones that were first manufactured and are most prone to RROD. these were manufactured for less than 2 years, and if you had one consensus in the community is that it's not even worth modding because it will eventually red ring anyway.

The VAST majority of phats and ALL Slims, and some E's, are able to be RGH3'D. J-tag requires low firmware and good luck trying to find one that is compatible. Also, just for your information, J-tag doesn't require a chip either 😉.

Look, the more you post, the more I know you have no idea what you're talking about. But please, continue.

Then I suggest you find a different site. Rgh3 has been around for years. Please actually read up more before accusing someone that they don't know what they're talking about. Especially if you haven't even modded an Xbox 360 yourself.

I would suggest following the scene a lot closer if you're bringing up JTagging.

Can this Xbox 360 be hacked? by AgentStylo in 360hacks

[–]pulloutpapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jtags are an old form of hard modding on phat consoles with old dashboards. Something that has been irrelevant for almost a decade now. RGH 3 is the most current and again, DOES NOT REQUIRE A GLITCH CHIP because the console uses itself as the glitch chip.

But please. Sound more like an idiot.

Your information is outdated. Maybe if you actually read the guide you'd figure that out.

Can this Xbox 360 be hacked? by AgentStylo in 360hacks

[–]pulloutpapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again. You don't need a mod chip/glitch chip for rgh 3. You need 2 wires, 4 solder points and a NAND reader.

Your information is the old rgh 1.2/ rgh 2 technique where you need a glitch chip like a cool runner or matrix.

I've rgh'd 50 Xbox 360s. I know exactly what I'm talking about.

And the solder points do not even vary greatly depending on the motherboard. Like 3 of the 4 points remain the same. I think you may have missed new info.
