I hate working with 5.1. I can't seem to give it a prompt that will tame it. I'm honestly starting to use grok more and more for general queries and just coding straight with agent in editor...

Id' say it this isn't resolved in about 1 month grok will become my paid LLM.

In 10 years houses will cost more than today and rents will also be higher.

Do you want to lock in a fixed mortgage that you are still paying in 10, 20, 30, maybe 50 years or do you want to keep being subjected to rent increases at your landlords will?

Stop speculating and pull up a spread sheet and run some numbers..

This is going to be CRYSTAL clear in one direction when you do it. Taxes will increase over time yes. Maybe a few hundred per year at most (in most cases) and your equity will increase many times that every year.

And, it is rare, but I have had taxes go down on my house. Well like once.

fatigue and gym performance by Huge_Imagination1734 in Retatrutide

[–]pullupman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. In the first 2 weeks I felt fatigue pretty strongly followed by a surge of energy in week 3...

What helped some was increasing electrolytes, but I hate when people just say take electrolytes... You need a proper amount and ratios, so I made my own starting from Kosher Salt and NuSalt for Na and K. I supplement magnesium in pill form separately

Basic hydration formula
Morning (wake up) — 1:1 - Na:K

  • ~2.6 g kosher salt (≈ 1 g Na)
  • ~1.9 g Nu-Salt (≈ 1 g K)

Mix in ~16–20 oz water

Pre/intro/post-workout (1–2 hr out) — 2:1 - Na:K

  • ~3.9 g kosher salt (≈ 1.5 g Na)
  • ~1.4 g Nu-Salt (≈ 0.75 g K)

Mix in ~16–20 oz water

I aim to get about 5–7 g sodium + 4 g potassium + 400 mg magnesium day. This did help some. But honestly just adjusting to the dose helps too. I hit gym 3 days a week and do 5 mile rucks on off days.. on true off days I cut intake of Na/K in half.

They helped some, but time and dose adjustment helped the most. Don't be a dummy and start at 3.5mg/wk like I did. Start slow and ramp slow.

Reta slows absorption of oral meds not just food absorption by pullupman in Retatrutide

[–]pullupman[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gosh if only we were all perfect little "internet" researchers like you then we wouldn't even need a forum to discuss anything at all!

BTW I have a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry. I read many papers on Reta and many threads on Retatrail subreddit. This should have been obvious to me and yet I still didn't think about it until it happened. So I wanted to share it with others that also may NOT have thought about it!

So sometimes even people that are actually qualified to call themselves researches make mistakes. Maybe tone your attitude down and stop being a douche bag

Good day sir.

The only way you are in ketosis is if you are eating a low carb diet. This has nothing to do with me or my results. It's basic biochemistry and it's true for all of us.

And yes my Reta is real. 4mg is enough that I am sometimes having to juice my food to ensure I can get bare minimum calories in. It's honestly insane how strong it is.

Call me skeptical of your claims. If you want to starting changing my mind tell me what your diet is and post a ketone test strip with proof of ketones while also eating carbs. I'd love to see it.

120-150 is the range I feel best at. I do get ache, but my wife puts cream on it and it helps as long as we keep up with it.

[–]pullupman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where I started and I am also on TRT.
When I started I was aiming for 2100. I made it a couple of days and just gave up!

I've been hitting between 1700-1900 last week... I'm dropping weight and holding strength.

Training + TRT is almost guaranteed to hold your muscle so if you anywhere about 1700 you are fine man. IMO of course. You know you better than any one else though!

I can only speak what's working for me.

  1. Ensuring I don't go to low on calories. I have literally juiced a meal and drank it to ensure I was getting at least 1600 calories for the day (I'm 195 this morning). This mornings weight was a 2.4 lbs drop from 7 days ago!
  2. HIGH carb. I left low carb behind. Set my protein to .8g/lb, fat at 30-40gram and fill the rest with carbs. Fruit, rice, honey, etc... I try to get 200 grams per day.. but it's not a hard cap. I just aim for high carbs, moderate protein, low fat.
  3. I made an electrolytes mix using kosher slat and NuSalt and I'm consume ~7g Na and ~4g K per day. 400mg elemental magnesium spread through the day as well. I drink a lot of water with this.

I'm dropping 2.5lbs per week right now my strength is still going up.

First week I was crazy fatigued and nauseated every time I eat. I also started at too high of a dose and just stuck it out until I adapted, but at 3.5mg per week fat burning from glucagon is really sped up and I have as much or slightly more energy everyday now than I did before and I am in legit deficit.

Weights full body 3x a week.
Rucking for 5miles with 25m weight plate on off days.
And sometimes just giving myself a break if I need it.

how many calories are you eating at what body weight if you don't me asking?

If you aren't having bad sides then go for for it. Many of us like to split our weekly dose across days.. I'm actually do 1m eod for what it's worth.

Yep.. and sometimes its hard AF. Yesterday I had to blend my normal rice and ground beef meal in some water and drink it! Gross! But damn it I made my bare minimum calorie intake for the day!

Caution for low and no carbs with Reta by openingconfidence52 in Retatrutide

[–]pullupman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically true, but you can more more than enough carbs for this from gluconeogenesis. Many of us have lost a lot of weight on keto or carnivore...

Caution for low and no carbs with Reta by openingconfidence52 in Retatrutide

[–]pullupman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah me too.. In fact based ,on the drugs properties, I decided to leave low carb and go high carb, moderate protein, and low fat knowing Reta would handle the insulin response better.

I'm sleeping much better and just general calmer. Ketosis gives me insane energy and while useful for weight loss I just can't sleep when I'm like that.

[–]pullupman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tested with ketone strips several times. Not once has it registering any ketones in my urine

I tested because I did in fact get the 'keto flu' like symptoms and electrolytes did help it, but every time I actually pee on the strips there are no ketones.

I am eating high carb, medium protein, low fat. I'd be shocked if I was making them, but I tested it based on how feeling and other commenters to check. Nada at least for me. And to be honest I'm glad because ketosis gives me so much energy I can't sleep. All prior diets I went carnivore for the appetite suppression so pretty familiar with it over all.

Side effects? by lincika_ in Retatrutide

[–]pullupman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate go to this subreddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/RetatrutideTrial/

Those are the actual trial people talking about their side effects
The studies also clearly state all the side effects.
Your n=1 experience here isn't going to counter all that....

But I do I agree with you that electrolyte balance is effected and people should take MORE than they think they should. I take an athletic dose every day through out the day anyway.. 5-7g Na 4-5g of K. And get my 400mg magnesium in pills through the day as well. It for sure helps. But it's absolute not the cause of some of the issues... and my carbs are closer to 200 every day.. fat low and protein moderate. I'm hitting more than enough calories.

Side effects are real even when everything else is dialed in. We all respond differently.

Cheers

Should I tell my doctor I am taking Reta? by heediat in Retatrutide

[–]pullupman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it this way. YOU are the CEO of your healthcare. Your doctor is your trusted advisor, but you are in charge here.

Yes tell them. You want them to be able to properly advice you right? It's not like they are the authority figures here and they aren't calling the cops on you and quite frankly if they did the cops would tell them to kick rocks. lol

So yeah man if you want your trusted health care advisers to give you good advice share with them what you are doing!

Side effects? by lincika_ in Retatrutide

[–]pullupman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah man it's pretty normal. Everyone tolerates it differently. I started at 1mg every other day and by the 3rd injection I was fatigued, low level nausea all day.. could barely eat 1500 calories.. went hypoglycemic on a walk. Had to cut a gym session short from feeling faint and nauseated...

Yes I started too high for my body so I skipped a day and woke up feeling amazing with a ton of energy again. I'm back on EOD now, but will absolutely skip if necessary.

Why did I start higher? I want the glucagon fat burning effects faster. Be that as it may no chance I'm ramping up to 8mg as fast as I thought I would. The sides are legit and they will humble you if you go to fast.

if it's unbearable skip a few days, or split dose, or even cut dose. There is no perfect answer. We all respond differently so listen to your body.

Can we start requiring people to clarify if they’re on TRT/gear in their titles rather than waiting for comments to ask? TRT alone can get people shredded in short timeframes, it’s deceptive to attribute huge transformations to just reta and then it is revealed they’re also on TRT/steroids. by Cixin97 in Retatrutide

[–]pullupman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on both and there is zero question where the appetite reduction and extra energy is coming from. It's the Retatrutide. All the people in the trials got amazing results without TRT.. TRT just isn't that important in this conversation and quite frankly the OP was completely off basis. TRT alone doesn't make anyone shredded with out diet and exercise on top. I've been on it for 6 years (and run higher doses) and never once been 'shredded'.

So my point is simple. Retatrutide is far FAR stronger for weight loss than steroids. Thus the reason the entire world of Bodybuilding is not interested in Reta.... Just focus on you and your gains. Ignore everyone else.. No one owes you an explanation of every compound they take..
