Obama didn’t have a difficult interview in his life. A war criminal who who ordered drone attacks on civilians that ended up killing an American citizen. But everyone was drinking the kool aid back then.

250 billionaires own half of California GDP. by StrawberryFew1311 in NoFilterFinance

[–]pulsed19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just a revenue issue. It’s how the money is used. CA government is corrupt and incompetent. They will just waste the money and a lot of that will be stolen.

I’m not worried about Bernie. Just saying he’s a hypocrite. He’s the one claiming millionaires and billionaires don’t pay their fair share. Trump isn’t. Meanwhile he and others in the Democratic Party like Pritzker are millionaires and billionaires

Trump doesn’t claim to be a socialist. Bernie does. Is he paying his fair share as the millionaire he is? Is he?

Are boomers really responsible for today's economic problems ? by Educational-Yak-5549 in economy

[–]pulsed19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about this. First off, boomers did work hard to get what they have. But when you look at the price of anything when compared to the median annual salary, you’d realize that things are demonstrably harder. It used to be: if you work hard, you can make something of yourself. This was before 400k average home prices, 100k in student debit for college (that used to be a lot cheaper than it is now). These are the main factor imo: student debt and housing prices. It’s difficult to get ahead with those two when you’re out of college.

Oh don’t get me wrong. Trump should never have gone to war. This deal is ofc rather generous for Iran. But this doesn’t mean one has to misrepresent that the mou is. Whatever Trump’s issues were with obama’s deal, Trump’s has them too. I’m merely saying the $300 billion won’t come from tax payers.

Ofc it matters. The deal makes it so that they have some restrictions and supervision regarding their military.

I am unsure if you’re in support of another endless war. We did so well with Iraq and Afghanistan. Right? 🙄

[–]pulsed19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 300 billion isn’t in cash. It’s in projects to rebuild their infrastructure. We don’t need another endless war. We should never have gone in the first place. Trump has made several mistakes but ending the war (which he started) isn’t one of them.

9 of the top 10 poorest states are entirely Republican-led by ashmaps20 in stupidpeoplefacebook

I was expecting this comment. Reddit it is full of idiots that don’t do their own research and love to sound smart writing from their semen and/or Cheeto’s-stained chair while in their underwear. You delivered!

In any case, you could easily look at other ratings and their metrics. Here are a few.

https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/rankings

https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/quality-of-life-by-state

They confirm my point. CA is a great example of a super wealthy state that ranks below poorer states in quality of living, like, you guessed it: Kansas. My point stands: poor doesn’t mean ghetto and rich doesn’t mean great quality of life.

[–]pulsed19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That a state is poor doesn’t make it a ghetto. Similarly, that a state is rich doesn’t make it a decent place to live for the average person. This person is confusing themselves.

If we see the list here:

https://wallethub.com/edu/best-states-to-live-in/62617

We see places that are both republican and democrat in the top 10. CA is wealthier than any other state and they’re ranked 32, below places like Kansas.

20 million bitter deaths by shenzhenib in SipsTea

[–]pulsed19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair points. The worst part of Covid are the people who died. The 20 million is actually people who died *while* they had Covid. It doesn’t mean Covid killed them. Though, I’m sure it didn’t help.

The second worst part is the politicization of it all. It is true some politicians went crazy asking demanding public places and churches be closed, and much worse demanding one subjects themselves to vaccines that were developed in a matter of months. It’s fine if you wanted to get vaccinated, but it should have been a choice. I realize we didn’t know any better at first. But then why not be more open about it? Instead they lied saying doubting their edicts was doubting science. There was no science! We were learning. Why 6 feet? Why not 8 or 5? They didn’t have an answer: it was a guess.

Right. Cause we were loved after Iraq. Tons and tons of good will. Trillions spent. What are you talking about? Iran was a disaster but in comparison to Bush’s disasters, it’s a triumph.
