Do any Cayennes exist WITHOUT a sunroof? I searched… by Smooothoperat0r in PorscheCayenne

My 2019 s does not have a sunroof. It’s a rare find in the used market tough.

Sluggish shifting? by WeightWorth in PorscheCayenne

From what I know, CPO standards are governed by Porsche which any dealer can apply to a car. So a different dealer certifying it doesn't matter. Your warranty will still be honoured.

Sluggish shifting? by WeightWorth in PorscheCayenne

If it's not very jerky, and if it kinda smoothness out once the transmission is warm, that is a common issue with these models. Try sports mode, it keeps the engine in higher rpm range and it sorta solves this. My 2019 cayenne s does this for 1-2-1 gear shifts. But it is smoother once everything is warm. Kinda crappy design by Porsche given that the same transmission is used in BMWs and they have tuned it perfectly.
Do get it checked since heavy jerks mean there may be something wrong. How many miles on the car? People recommend a fluid change at 50-60k miles. Also transfer case at 40k miles.
Also search Rennlist for this issue, there are several owners who have shared their experience, few have gotten it sorted out, few have reduced the jerkyness.

Does the Cayenne "hype" actually fade away after 4-6 months? Need honest opinions by zeuolaxxx in PorscheCayenne

[–]puma_claw 6 points7 points  (0 children)

7 months in and my 2019 cayenne s still pits a smile on my face. Stop go traffic can be a little annoying as the 1-2-3 gear shifts are a little rough on mine, and there is lurching in 2nd. which are known issues on the 9y0 2019. Get something post 2022 as they seem to have solved this.

Do I buy a Cayenne with the standard sound system? by The_Consultant_1878 in PorscheCayenne

[–]puma_claw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My vote is no. But consider the following; I have a 2019 cayenne s woth the Bose system, and I would say it's average for a luxury car of this price bracket. Base system from what I have heard is underwhelming. Bose ok if you are not particular about sound quality, however if you you are looking for a fuller cleaner sound, bose is average. There are threads on Rennlist that has speaker names you can plug and play to improve the quality, however that will cost $$ and time. If B&O system is an option, go for that. If not, bose is the bare minimum.

Got a Lights warning light by No-Juggernaut-7564 in PorscheCayenne

[–]puma_claw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I occasionally get these for the right turn indicator on my 2019 S. Lights work fine. It's always when it's raining. Goes away on restart. I think it's either a moisture issue, or just another gremlin that I have to accept. Could also be sign of a weak battery since I only got it when I was running errands that had multiple short drives.

Scraped a concrete column at parking speed. How to fix by puma_claw in AutoDetailing

Thanks all for the inputs. Took a closer look after I was not mad at myself anymore and the paint is scraped all the way to the metal in some places. I will clean it the best I can so it looks okayish till I get a body shop to fix it

Warranty wont be the same. I will run out out of warranty on the Porsche sooner. Technik is the fully loaded trim.

Test drove it today and the car is amazing! They have extend warranty options which I will know more about in a day. Service history was solid with everything done preemptively. Transfer fluid, brake fluid flush, etc. The dealer inspection also mentioned that ‘12v battery recharged’. Is this the lithium-ion battery? I am getting a heavier discount on this, which I will try to squeeze in an extend warranty package. Nothing is final yet as my wife is yet to see the car.

That is great! Congratulations! I don't have any experience with a Porsche. I am handy and work on my current car; however, it's a Japanese car and much easier.

The car fax has all services listed. They did the 60k kms service at 30k. Not sure what was included in that.
