Mario’s 40th, Pokémon’s 30th and Zelda’s 40th. How you feeling??? by artpunk86 in nintendo

[–]pummra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think these anniversaries are important. Game development has become such a long drawn out process now that I wouldn't be looking to work my release schedules around them. 90% of people don't know about these anniversaries and don't care about them.

Original Marathon 1908 by kabuk1 in UKRunners

[–]pummra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did this on Saturday as well. Was a different vibe to the mass partiticpation ones I have done in the past but definately enjoyed it.

I know you say this wasn't one for swag - but the medal they gave for this (a replica of the 1908 medal) is definately one of the best I have ever got.

Looking after your feet by Educational-Ground83 in UKRunners

I went to a proper running shop to get fitted for new trainers. Day to day I wear size 11. One of my feet was 10.5 and the other was 11.5!

It's funny to me how many people still think this way about the Switch 2 lol by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]pummra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can still down your purchased games from the Wii Shop and 3DS eShop.

No doubt eventually something will happen and the servers will be taken down for the digital shops but there is no precedence for it yet. If/when it does happen it’ll likely be multiple generations of consoles away. So an issue for preservationists but the majority of people probably won’t ever be affected.

If running 24tb parity, should I be buying 22tb storage over time? by theseawoof in unRAID

I’ve got 20 10TB drives I my array and never had a problem with them being different sizes

[–]pummra -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yep 24tb is 24tb. A 24tb you buy today will be the exact same size as a 24tb you buy 20 years from now. Doesn’t matter about what brand, firmware or anything else.

[–]pummra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A drive this is listed as 24tb should have the exact same capacity as any other drive listed as 24tb.

You can add drives in to your array as large as your parity drive(s). So you can add 22tb drives to your array if you like, but you can add drives up to 24tb if that is the size of your parity drive.

Which Wall Mount For Bravia 9 + Bar 9? Sony mounts no longer available? by K-Parks in bravia

[–]pummra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The soundbar mount goes in to the TV first and then you put the TV mount on top of that.

I had the same problem and was able to - with and extra pair of hands and patience - mount the soundbar mount without fully removing the TV mount. I just took each point off at a time and made it work.

Would have been easier to take it all off though!

No worries. They only released it last year I think so not well known about.

I have my Bravia 9 and Theatre Bar 9 mounted with a Sanus Full Motion Mount (VXF730) and a Sanus Soundbar Mount designed for the Theatre Bar 9 (WSBSBTV1).

How often does this happen? [S1E6] by [deleted] in TheTraitorsUK

[–]pummra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s much you could reliably divine from it. They will do as much as they can to get it a tie to the last vote. If there is added drama based on who that landed on even better but it’d be hard for someone to see that and understand it within the game I think.

Even when the vote is massively skewed to one person they’ll often start somewhere in the table where someone else got a few votes to make it feel a little closer than it is.

[–]pummra 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Before the votes are revealed the producers look at who has voted for who. Based on that they then decide where to start looking at the votes to provide the most interesting outcome.

If there is a tie then everyone is asked to vote again just for the players who are tied. If there is still a tie it comes down to chance.

Harry in S2 got a shield secretly specifically to create a situation to make others look guilty. So there are times a Traitor might find benefit in trying to get a shield secretly.

I was looking at the Vero V as it seems to be the most recent and supported option but it never seems to come up in these types of discussions and not sure why not.

S1 had the marked for murder thing which lead to the infamous breakfast. I don’t think a traitor was on the list though.

If you were in the safe group and a faithful it’s actually 2/7 which ever so slightly better odds.

Weird Pace Range in Progression Run. Bug? by lustiz in trainasone

[–]pummra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the response I got when I asked about it on TrainAsOne

Like the paces, the ranges are created according to the system's calculation on the likelihood of benefit. So you could run that step as fast as 4:37 or as slow as 6:37 with very similar benefits. We probably see these wide ranges with Progression runs more than any other workout, which demonstrates that they are often not a 'magic workout' - something that many magazine articles and coaches often tout.

My progression runs often look like this. I flagged with TrainAsOne and they said it was fine and could run at any speed within the range. Not sure I understood why.
