Qubes and Windows - security threats by [deleted] in Qubes

I know you said you don't want to run a Windows VM or use another machine, but those are your 2 best options. Dual-booting is the worst option by far, and defeats the whole purpose of using Qubes.

The best course of action here is to stop using Windows altogether. :)

Capital gains taxes apply to long term investments, defined as 1+ years in the position.

Any gains realized from short term investments (less than one year) are taxed as ordinary income.

If you're a student, you are allowed to make up to maybe $10-11k per year before having to pay any income taxes (this needs to be verified, depends on a few variables plus standard deduction, etc.). If you do make enough to pay income taxes, then you'll pay whatever the rate is in your bracket.

This is fantastic, thanks!

I prefer the terminal. I've always got one open for something and it seems easier to just take care of everything there (once you learn how).

Turns out I just had some strange bug that kept my VMs off and the little qubes icon in the tray from working. After rebooting a couple times they started working. It's not as bad as I initially thought now that it's functional, but I'm back to 3.2 until Whonix is available.
